Lady Gaga Debuts ‘Jewels and Drugs’ with T.I., Too $hort, & Twista at iTunes Festival

Twista, Lady Gaga, and Too $hort

Lady Gaga is turning all the way up. During her performance at the iTunes Festival in London on Sunday, the pop superstar debuted a new song called “Jewels and Drugs” off her upcoming album ARTPOP featuring Too $hort, T.I., and Twista. She was joined onstage by Too $hort and Twista.

T.I. was unable to gain entry into the country, but Gaga still played his verse and shouted him out. “From across the pond, T.I. They wouldn’t let him into the country, poor thing. Put your hands up, Hustle Gang,” she said.

During an interview at the VMAs, Gaga revealed that Too $hort would be featured on the DJ White Shadow-produced song, which is set to appear on ARTPOP, due Nov. 11.

She also debuted other new tracks including “Manicure,” “Swine,” “Sex Dreams,” “I Wanna Be With You,” “Aura,” and the title track.

Watch her perform the unexpected collaboration live in London.

    @xedos, Shit, yes!
    But electronic, NO!
    She never was electronic!
It is an insult to all real electronic artists to put them in the same category with that!
Rich kids will never capture the real idea of artistry!
You can be a painter, a great painter,
    a singer, the best technician,
a dancer, the best in all disciplines,
but an artists is much much more!
The new generation zero and it’s followers just don’t get it!
    The reason for that is:
    They don’t do their homework!
No clue about pop history and it’s links to art, history, politics and the responsibilities that come with it!

@fa, She was electronic! you dumb*** is an insult to her and to all electronic artists to ignorantly say that she was “never” electronic when she was and still is. You have no clue what the real idea of artistry! is.

I haven’t been feeling Gaga’s vibe recently, there’s something that I’m not connecting with & I usually find Gaga very entertaining to watch. Maybe it’s just me…

But on the other hand Katy Perry one the other hand is doing it for me. I’m living for her new material, Roar is a nice track & I know her entire album will be the same. Plus she’s been snatching a few wigs on Billboard & iTunes as well.

@Boom., Haha so you basically jumped ship from Gaga, to Katy whose more successful in the moment? You’re fraudulent… Or maybe you don’t understand that word. You’re Basic, and a poser.

I strongly believe shes falling HARD because she isn’t working with Redone. I mean think about it yah, its like wonder if Michael Jackson never did Off the Wall/Thriller/& Bad without Quincy Jones ! especially what if Justin Timberlake didn’t work with Timberland. She need to kick theses producers of hers away and HIT UP REDONE 4 some damn HITS. I mean seriously all her major hit songs were co-written/produce with only him !!

    [Reply]

    Jackie Rayne Reply:

@LmfaoHoe, very valid point! This song is different but what song isn’t these days but it has to be the good catchy ish. The producers make the song and I want the artist to bring that fire!

@LmfaoHoe, So true. Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, etc.

    monster Reply:

@LmfaoHoe, I honestly disagree, no disrespect though. As a very huge little monster- I adored The Fame like every album. But a lot of people only paid attention to the singles and not the album in it’s entirety. She said “Born This Way” was her growing up album and she is finally put more heart and passion into her music. She respects other artist and the messages behind a lot of her music is that much more powerful. This song in particular is my jam though!
