New Music: Drake – ‘Wu-Tang Forever’

Drake

With less than two weeks until the release of Nothing Was the Same, Drake comes through with “Wu-Tang Forever.” The Canadian rapper reflects on a past relationship on the dark track, which is now available to purchase on iTunes with the album pre-order.

“Yeah, this shit belong to nobody/ It’s yours,” sings Drizzy.

The iTunes tracklisting also confirms that Jhené Aiko will be featured on “From Time,” while Jay Z guests on “Pound Cake.”

@Ayo, Why not full rap album? :(

rappers don’t want drake to make full rap album

from my point of view “Wu-Tang Forever” and “Started from the Bottom” are best rap songs in this year.

Hov album was good but it was like Blueprint or the black album it did let me down a bit but I guess it was okay. Eminem album I knew it would be good enough because he switched from So Far to I’m Back and The slim shady

    [Reply]

    DontKillMyVibe Reply:

@Tarique94, Eminem’s single is not even that good though, why would you even name his album as the best one of this year when Born Sinner is out and it is not?

    [Reply]

    Tarique94 Reply:

@DontKillMyVibe, I name it best album of the year because it will have sequals and all that believe me I have faith on why I said it be the album of the year. Born Sinner is a sick album the only thing that was missing was piano music in his skits really other than that perfect enough

@charlemange tha god, The Song is called Wu Tang Forever because the phrase It’s Yours is sampled from the Wu Tang song Itz Yours, also the first few bars in the first verse pays homage to Raekwon’s verse in the Wu Tang song

@tee, your totally wrong here do ya research before you dick ride a nigga.. Drake doesn’t sample raekwon’s verse in this song, hell he doesn’t even sample the chorus of itz yourz. This is a love song how did he pay homage when rae’s verse starts off machine gun rap for all my niggaz in the back……are you 12? He shouldve named it black shampoo and sampled that…since that was the softest song on wu-tang forever. This nigga is wack….I’m done

All of you saying “It’s Yourz” is just a Wu-Tang sample clearly don’t know hip-hop. Yes, they did the song It’s Yourz, but it was originally T La Rock and Jazzy Jay’s “It’s Yours”, AND Nas did The World is Yours, and sampled the same song, this shit still has nothing to do with Wu other than Drake biting lyrics, and saying Wu-Tang on the hook.

Not impressive. All the songs he’s been releasing are so boring (except for Started From The Bottom).
Plus the lyrics are really bad… Time for a ghost writer before Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole definitely take over.
Nothing Was The Same doesn’t seem too promising.

I believe Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album is going to be one of the best hip hop albums of 2013, and arguably the best hip hop album of 2013. Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album has the potential to be the best mainstream hip hop album of 2013, and has the potential to be a masterpiece. I love every song that I have heard from Drake’s new album so far that has been released to the public. Drake’s Wu-Tang Forever song is a great song, even though it is not his best song ever. Drake’s All Me song is a nice street banger, and Drake’s Hold On, We’re Going Home song is a very, good R&B song.

I don’t understand why there are some people hating on Drake’s musical talents. Drake is a good rapper, and a good singer. Drake is one of the top 10 best mainstream rappers in hip hop right now. Drake’s Take Care album won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards. Every rapper in hip hop with the exception of some old-school rappers wants to work with Drake. Drake is still selling platinum-selling albums, selling out tours, making millions of dollars, making good music, and living his life the way he wants to. In response to @MARCOMULA, I think it is good that Drake is the Taylor Swift of rap, because Drake puts out good music and can sell albums without being a one-hit wonder.
