Drake Debuts ‘Too Much’ on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’

Drake

Drake hit up “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Friday night. October’s Very Own sat down for an interview and participated in a game of charades with Scarlett Johansson. With some help from British singer-producer Sampha, he also debuted “Too Much,” a piano-driven song off his upcoming album Nothing Was the Same, due Sept. 24.

He opened with a special message: “Before I do this song, I just want to say to my friends and family, I want the best for everybody and I love you all.”

Watch Drizzy share his new song with the world.

This album sounds like a sequel to So Far Gone, and that’s a good thing. Yet another classic’s on the way.

@d, naaaa, his voice just sounds off. maybe he have to learn to control it better or it is because its live. don’t know but for me the song could be 100 but its not

    Meme Reply:

@Gyary, who da fuk cares. Drake ain’t out here tryna me hard. Drake never claim to be street or hood. Just ask all the hood rappers how much albums theyre sellong. drake is a well spoken class act, and bitches still love him, botches stil flock to buy his shit

@Meme, say that shit! Niggas swear that all rappers have to be hard or hood. I like Drake because he doesn’t pretend to be all of that and he doesn’t mind expressing his emotions. His music still sells and it’s good. That’s all that matters in the end. Plenty of successful rappers aren’t hard or hood. Eminem and outkast anyone?

    [Reply]

    yooo Reply:

@Meme, he could have fooled me with all those goons in the headlines video.. drake got bars, but there is something extremely insincere about how he carries himself.

@Meme, Drake isn’t trying to be hard? *Watches “Started From the Bottom” video*… Drake looks a fucking fool trying to appear “tough” in that video lol

There is not 1 rapper. I repeat NOT ONE RAPPER in this industry who can fuck with drake.
That’s a fact. I don’t care how long they’ve been doing it or how “street” they are or how many albums they’ve sold. Lyrically, content wise, delivery, subject matter, creativity, and especially vocabulary(bcuz you know most of these rappers only know about 3 words anyway) NO ONE is fucking with drake. Bye
PS I agree with the person above who said James Blake would have been dope on this hook. But this Sampha guy sounds good too.

@Meldrick, T.I’s last album couldn’t sell 30% of Drakes Take Care first week. Not to mention overall sales.

    [Reply]

    BitchDontKillMyVibe Reply:

@channel_ROMAN, Quantity =/= Quality. Just saying.
(Not trying to say that Take Care is not a classic, but sales don’t mean shit. Never did, never will)

    [Reply]

    OVOKID Reply:

@BitchDontKillMyVibe, “numbers don’t lie check the score board” sales do matter because it shows your fan base. T.I was king back in 08 him and Wayne but these past years have been dominated by Drake himself. We haven’t had a annicapted album like this in ages. NOTHING WAS THE SAME, literally…
