Album Cover: Eminem – ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’

The Marshall Mathers LP 2

Eminem goes back to his roots with the artwork for his upcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The cover is a vintage photo of his former home on Dresden St. in Detroit where he spent his teenage years.

He asked his Twitter followers a trivia question and the first person to answer it correctly was given the artwork to spread across the Internet.

One of the covers for his 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP featured a different photo of the same house (see below).

MMLP2, executive produced by Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin, arrives Nov. 5 featuring the single “Berzerk.”

I actually like it. It reflects the first one and also reflects Detriot in 2013…..run down and abandoned.

@LOLathaters, I was thinking the same thing. Alot has changed in Detroit since 2000s. Hopefully Em spits that ill s#it and revive his city

Cover art is creepy as hell but I fucks with it. Plus, it’s sentimental for him and shit, so… I get it.

i like it. but im wondering why he changed his styling of EMIN3M. i know the new one just combined MIN, but i cant stop reading it as EMNEM. kinda reminds me of how he twists words to rhyme though.

Absolutely love it! my expectations for this album are even higher than now. The house looks even grimier, eerier, darker, scarier, and more abandoned than in 2000. If someone told me this was Amityville i would no doubt believe it. it also looks like a haunted house from the japanese horror movie. i wonder what that number written on the door means

FLASHBACK of the original MMLP Makes Sense for those who were old enough to remember the 2000 release not those aged 12+ of today’s music tastes only concern for this lp is the sound. will it be a mixture of the original (comedy dark hip-hop and the interaction of slim shady) or will it be the bullshit sounding garbage like that single that’s somehow managed to have taken over the airwaves. we shall see……

Eminem fan are going to still treat it as if it’s a Tupac album.

@channelPink, exactly. Just one song so far and is not that good to be so hype for this album. Hopefully he give us something better.
