Drake Performs ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ on ‘Ellen’

In just four days Drake will release his third album Nothing Was the Same. On Friday, he stopped by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” for a candid interview and performance.

With some help from his OVO Sound signee Majid Jordan, he charmed the audience while singing his hit “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” which is No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

He will perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas this weekend and guest on Monday’s “Chelsea Lately.” On his album release day, he will host a “Drakeover” on BET’s “106 & Park” and make an in-store appearance at Best Buy in New York.

Watch Drizzy make the ladies swoon with his smooth set.

This looks like…NO! Felt like a third grade talent show with some mediocre talent. I love Drake and his music but this felt so awkward. He should switch it up and throw a rap in somewhere. Reverb? Black Choir? Orchestra? Anything to beef up this dead performance.

  3. soulwoman

love this song so much, but his voice sounds weak sometimes. sadly.
    still, great song!

  4. Coco

I’m in love with the song can’t stop listenning to it but this perf ?? i mean, are you for real ? :(
I think he should stick with rap for his live performances

  5. ale

  8. Chris Brown Lost

    Still better than Chris Brown.

  9. Brandon

This is why I don’t like it when Drake sings lol ….. fucking cringefest.

  10. Ice

Ellen was probably thinking “Eww, a man kissed me”.

  11. Glen J

This performance was awful lol. I’m sure the tour performance will be a lot better.

  12. ohno

Drake and Majid both sound awful live..they need singing lessons for real…Still a great song though

  13. Onika Miraj

I did not like this at all. Love the song, though.

I wasn’t feeling this… I LOVE the song but I felt like he was trying too hard to be a “singer” instead of just being Drake. I just wanna have a light skinned moment and write on a napkin, “You’re good enough, Drake. You’re good enough.”

  15. CAN T U SEE

OK. RAPPERS should have known that to sing is a really big deal. SINGERS should have known that to rap is a really big deal. So rappers : rap for us. Singers : sing for us and every thing we ll be alright except if your names are Lauryn Hill, Ryan Leslie, Missy Elliott, Craig David, Estelle, i mean artists that can sing and rap with a true good level.

    This performance is poor.

Drake should rap his verses then ask a real singer to sing the vocal part of the song : that s it.

  16. Mello

that’s the reason why he declares himself a studio singer
