Video: Pusha T – ‘King Push’

Pusha T

Pusha T comes for the crown in the dark video for “King Push.” The G.O.O.D. Music MC flexes his power on the Joaquin Phoenix-produced track, which opens his debut My Name Is My Name.

“I rap, ni**a bout trap ni**as/ I don’t sing hooks,” he declares over the militaristic beat.

MNIMN drops Oct. 8 featuring collaborations with Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Kelly Rowland, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean. “It’s definitely going to be the hip-hop album of the year,” he told MTV News.

Without having a melodic chorus, or sung chorus. He’ll be at a disadvantage with these singles on the mainstream level. Sometimes you gotta play the game.

    Brad Reply:

@LL T, not everyone makes music to be on the radio. Most music on the radio has zero personality. He does what he wants. Leave it alone.

I CAN’T believe Joaquin Phoenix, the dude who played the emperor on Gladiator and did that mockumentary about rap, produced this fire. Goddamn. I just GOT to know to what degree Kanye West collaborated with him on this beat.
