Iggy Azalea Talks Beyoncé, T.I.’s Advice, & EP on ‘106 & Park’

Keshia Chante, Bow Wow, and Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea made her first appearance on “106 & Park” on Thursday. The Aussie rap sensation kicked it on the couch with Bow Wow and Keshia Chante and performed her new single “Change Your Life” with some help from her mentor T.I.

On Tuesday, Iggy will release her Change Your Life EP featuring the singles “Work,” “Bounce,” and the title track. “My label likes to call it an EP,” she said. “Artistically, I feel like it’s not an EP because I feel like an EP is a mini album.”

She also shared some tips from T.I. “Sometimes he gives me lipstick advice. … Sometimes he gives me some style help too,” she said. “That’s what good friends do. Good friends can’t let you walk out of the house looking crazy.”

They showed her photos of Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, and A$AP Rocky and had her share the first thing that popped into her mind. When it came to her former boyfriend, she said, “We’re cool. I actually saw Rocky at Fashion Week. We said hello. I’m happy for him, he’s doing great.”

Iggy will join Beyoncé on the Australian leg of her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” later this month. “I love me some Bey,” she said. “I really like all her tour looks. I’ve kinda been biting little things from them. I have to admit, I really admire her.”

See Iggy interact with the livest audience on “106 & Park.”

she’s really cute but I’m not sure if she’s being real. And she has to decide if she wants to be pop or hip hop. The mix she does between those too is not appealing.

@Andy, Well it works for Flo Rida, Nelly, Mcklemore, Pitbull, Nicki Minaj… so why cant she mix pop with hip hop? I mean one min yall say she’s being phony and trying to “act black” if she releases a rap record and the next u say she’s being too “pop” when she fuses pop and hip-hop. The blend is not unheard of in this day and age. Personally I think that will be the best route for her because most black people I know arent trying to give this girl a chance because she is white.
