New Music: Justin Bieber – ‘Heartbreaker’

Heartbreaker

Justin Bieber’s love life has made headlines and now he’s turning his pain into a song. The teen idol puts it all out there on “Heartbreaker,” the first release in his #MusicMondays series. The vulnerable slow jam, which was inspired by his past relationship, was produced by Maejor Ali, T-Minus, and Chef Tone.

“It’s a song for people going through a heartbreak—like I was when I wrote it,” he explained. “It means so much to me to be able to share what I was, and still am going through, with my fans. I’m very proud of this song and I hope it gives my fans some insight into my heart.”

He plans to drop a new single, or “journal” as he calls it, every Monday for the next 10 weeks leading up to the release of the Believe movie.

Stream and swoon over the Biebs’ tender tune.

i don’t like Justin bieber in the first place but to be honest i prefer the childish/boy band type of music he made to this, because this sounds so much like drake its ridiculous at least before he sounded like himself, hes just seeing that its the whole melancholy r&b singing is working for drake so now hes doing it

Justin is waaaay to big of a celeb to not have any originality what so ever!!! Like nothing about his lyrics, arrangements, or vocals are unique. Any other male r&b singer coulda sung this mediocre shit! Bye Justin

Eric Bellinger did a WAY better job with this beat. Google it Eric Bellinger “What you want” feat. Treasure Davis. Much better song.

@David, Who cares. We’re clearly focusing on JUSTIN BIEBER now. I don’t even know who Eric Bellinger is. FLOP!

WTF Bieber is a fu**ing swagger jagger. His album cover is almost the same as Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak album from 2008. Even the content of both albums are the same: about their past relationships. Could Bieber not come up with something new, we don’t need this.

@Raaaandy, also, was Kanye the first ever in the history of world to sing about past relationships? Does he own that?

    Raaaandy Reply:

@Not you, naaah lovesongs and crysongs is the foundation op pop music. By swagger jagging I ment this:

oh, but ofcourse also his way of wearing leather pants like most of them rappers do these days. I know, grandmaster flash and the furious five were the leather trendsetters in the eighties hip hop scene not Kanye. And don’t get me wrong I think Bieber is interesting as person in pop music, his music is mostly not my cup of tea.

@Raaaandy, Yes, I thought of Mr. West when I saw this and then I thought about Whitagram and how much artist nowadays have a white backdrop for their single covers now. And btw this is not an album nor is it for an album. The cover made sense and is straight to the point. A broken heart.

So what if he used a beat that has already been used. That happens in msuic all the time let’s keep in mind that this isn’t a single just a free song for his fans. How is this worst than when Kelly Rowland stole Jamie Foxx’s song Freak that he actually put on his album and then she did the same song (with the same beat and lyrics) and put it on her last album too?

Anywho I’m loving this song though! And I’m really feeling this mature sound he is going for. It does sound like it COULD be a Drake track but I see a few people stated that Drake’s producer produced it. I wonder what direction he is going in for his next album seeing how Robin and Justin are having a successful year.
