Grammy season is kicking off with some help from Drake. The “Started From the Bottom” rapper has been announced as a performer for the nominations special.

In addition to Drizzy, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Robin Thicke, and Keith Urban are the first acts announced to perform on “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night.”

LL Cool J will return to host the one-hour special, which airs live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Friday, Dec. 6. Nominations in several categories will be announced during the show, airing at 10 p.m. on CBS.

Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the weeks ahead.

Drake won his first Grammy for Best Rap Album for Take Care earlier this year, while his newest album Nothing Was the Same is eligible for next year’s awards.

The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will air live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 26, 2014.
