@Eoiny, A guy named Koolo (from studioleaks.info he’s leaked a shitload of Em’s tracks and is a harsh judger) has the monster (rihanna and em song) and said it’s 10/10. He also stated that the song is nothing like in Recovery. You just wait for it’s release. And don’t come bandwagon if it’s the best album of his career.

So disappointed. I thought this was going to be a return to pure hip hop naming it MMLP2 then you put Rihanna and Skylar on their. That awful Survival song is on there. I didn’t want to admit it but yeah Eminem done sold out. F U Marshall.

    Mike504 Reply:

@Mack, I’m not crazy about the two singles so far, but I’m still optimistic since he really brought out his A-Plus game on both “Recovery” and “Hell: The Sequel EP”. I don’t think Rihanna and Skylar Grey are signs he’s selling out because Skylar is a really good singer and songwriter. She killed the hook on “I Need A Doctor” with him and Dr. Dre and that was Hip Hop. He could’ve left Rihanna out since they’ve already done like three songs together, but again, I don’t think that’s a sign of selling out or going Pop, especially since he’s often incorporated Pop and Rock into his music since his debut album.

Still, I hope this album is more in the vein of Recovery with more Hip Hop influence than anything.

    Mack Reply:

@Mike504, what I’m disappointed in is he said he’s revisiting his classic MMLP. In Berzerk and that interview he did on NFL he said he wanted to take it back to straight hip hop. The guy who made MMLP, Slim Shady would be embarrassed by this tracklist. Can you imagine a pop singer on any old Em album let alone MMLP? He’s using the same tired hook singers, song guy named Nate from a band called FUN…it’s disrespectful to his own classic to call this MMLP2.

Don’t yall know Eminem sold out a long time ago? He want them radio hits, he wants to fill his pockets before his time is up. He’s all about the teen audience now. Nas called it “Hip Hop Is Dead” and Marshall Mathers helped put the nail in the coffin.

    [Reply]

    Darren Reply:

@RIP, lol you obv dont compare “future” or “juicy j” with em, does he rap about stripclubs, smacking big butts and drinking like fuck, hip hop isnt dead, the audience just got retarded with techno and house listeners. Look at Black Hippy,Joey Bada$$ and now em, theyre trying to help it up…

At this point of his career he already have paid his dues so he has nothing to prove he sold millions of records won multiple of awards had a hit movie has a strong fanbase and most of all respect for what he has done in the game.y is everyone complaining about this tracklist without even listening to it.how on earth do people know its going to be a pop album rihanna is originally a r&b artist turned to pop because the way music has changed so much.she does records with jayz, kanye drake and even wale and no one ever attacks them and call them pop for doing music with rihanna..plus kanye did a record with katy perry, snopp dogg does a song with miley cyrus its just the way music is now everyone is making music together u dont have to make music with a rap artist just because your a rapper u don’t have to always do the obvious anymore in music every type of artist are doing music with one another now.

@gagorder, Well there might be a Paul skit from what i see, only skit named Parking Lot and Paul saying: “I got a call from Paul Rosenberg, Em’s manager. He’s like, ‘Em’s ready for the visual. I want to play you this song and then just vibe on it.’ They [Eminem's team] work so crazy. They don’t do anything digital. So I went to a Staples parking lot, and I had to sit shotgun in one of the A&R’s cars to listen to it. I wrote down a couple notes and left – it was like a drug deal or something,” said James Larese of Syndrome. ”Staples parking lot” So yeah, might be a Paul skit from what i see.

    Features: Perfect

    This is gonna SMASH!

    [Reply]

  21. Why

So basically calling it MMLP2 & dying the hair blonde was just a marketing ploy because no way this touches on MMLP with those features. There are so many interesting, talented artists yet he consistently features a talentless overused radio pop chick & the infinitely boring Skylar Grey who NO ONE cares. They had to sell her album for $5.99 just to get her at 30,000 sales.

    [Reply]

  22. The Man 2.0

You lot are ridiculous tbh lol. So many assumptions because he has 4 features on a 16 track album and 3 of them are singers :/ good singers aswell. The songs he’s made with them in the past have been pretty good (Skylar & Rihanna) and he needs the right balance of commercial music and good hip hop so if he has about 6 mainstream songs we still have a good chance of hearing great hip hop in the other 10.

    [Reply]

    Lello Reply:

@The Man 2.0, Marshall used to be able to make great albums without commercializing songs. That’s what MMLP stood for, that’s what he rebelled against back then. He was uncompromising. Don’t call this MMLP2 if your doing the opposite if what the first album stood for.

  24. Jon

Why is everyone complaining? The features are not horrible at all. Rihanna and Skylar Grey are both good singers, Kendrick Lamar is killin it right now, and Nate Ruess can’t be worse than Bruno Mars was on “Lighters.” At least there’s no Lil Wayne feature this time!

    [Reply]

    Lello Reply:

@Jon, Rihanna a good singer? She doesn’t sing she croaks, These are pop singers on an album where he said he was revisiting MMLP, a very anti-pop, anti-establishment album. He should have called it Recovery2 then these type of features would be expected.

    [Reply]

  25. channel_ROMAN

Out of 16 tracks people are complaining about 3 tracks with singers. Ungrateful. Rihanna is “R&B” and Skylar Grey is his artist. Nate’s voice is kinda annoying but he’s critically acclaim. I’m personally looking forward to Stronger Than I Was. Thank God there’s no Big Sean.

    [Reply]

    Lello Reply:

@channel_ROMAN, Rihanna is POP. Skylar Grey is not his artist she’s on Alex Da Kid sub-label. Marshall is just out of ideas using the same people and claiming to be revisiting MMLP as a marketing ploy.

    [Reply]

  26. Donny

STOP WHINING, YOU ONLY HEARD TWO SONGS FROM AN ALBUM WITH 16 SONGS. JUST BE HAPPY THERE’S NO DRAKE, LIL WAYNE, OR THAT FAG CHRIS BROWN. Fuckin cry babies, go listen to your “big sean”.

  27. Yasiin

How is this the Marshall Mathers LP 2?

If you would take the Eminem from 99-00s to to the future and current Eminem he probably would kill himself for doing these wack collabs.

This dude has been a dissapointment for his fans since 2004. Encore atleast there was still some of that crazy Eminem shit, now it make no sense.

Survival & Berzerk or both wack ass songs and Eminem needs to retire his ass. How is he going to revisit such a classic with those stupid names. Im sure Kendrick will murder him on his own shit.

Eminem, better start a new pop career because you gonna lose all your die hard hip hop fans and you can be making songs for Emo boys and lil girls who also like to scream on Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga concerts..
