Tamar Braxton Brings It ‘All the Way Home’ on ‘Arsenio’

Tamar Braxton

Tamar Braxton brought down the house with her performance on Wednesday’s “Arsenio.” The blonde songstress belted out her Sevyn Streeter-penned ballad “All the Way Home” off her album Love and War.

On Oct. 20, Tamar will hit the road with John Legend on his “Made to Love” tour and release her Christmas album Winter Loversland on Nov. 11.

Good. Not great but very good. One of her better showings as of lately. I think touring going to kick Tamar’s ass though, her voice is tired. But when she’s on she’s spot on.

@Anonymous, I completely agree. This started strong & I was excited & then she fell off & my interest waned a bit. It was good but she needs to step it up. It was a 7/10 at best.

What is going on with her voice? I don’t think this was good and aside from that, she just seems off.

My question goes to everyone whose commented above:
Can YOU get on a microphone and sing this song better than Tamar? If you are such experts on artists vocals, why don’t you post a video online and show the world AND Tamar Braxton how she really should’ve sang it!
If you can’t do that then you should shut up, because your just being negative when this girl should be getting sooo much love for being a power vocalist. That is NOT an easy song to sing and she did THAT LIVE! Her voice is that of a polished, seasoned veteran!
So unless you can sing this entire song with range, power, perfect pitch, and control how about you congratulate a sister for being an amazing singer, because she is. Period.

@TamarFan, So the entire world isn’t allowed to have an opinion on anything unless they’re experts in the field, themselves?

@TamarFan, Hey fella i love me some taytay BUT we know what sound good n what don’t. I personally think she should lipsync some performances. Rest that voice some more save them vocals for tour.

It was a very good performance for a song with that many vocal acrobatics. She is not at her best but she did good.

Very bland, she stay in on spot like a 1923, Cotton Club ballroom singer. She didn’t bring it like she could have. I’m not a Tarmarians, but I do catch hers T.V. shows. And including the fact that she’s a new mom (congrats) & touring, she gets a pass. BESTEST to her & her new addition to her family.

I am a Tamartian to a fault….However I am pissed that the vocals were strained I think she should lipsync to preserve vocals for tour. She appears to not be at full capacity.

not that good. Her stage presence reminds me of Mariah. Difference is, MAriah would have lip synced before sounding this bad live.

Tamar has an amazing voice which she showcases a lot on The Braxton Family Values. It’s ashamed now that she has her own platform she’s been sounding nasally. Pregnancy does change the voice, but it’s not a bad thing. Whitney, Christina to name a few all got deeper and richer tones as a result. Tamar just needs to work on training her voice again.

I think it’s pure IGNORANT the comments that I’m reading on this post. PEOPLE! Tamar busted a blood vessel in her vocal cords. That is the reason her voice is the way it is now. And to read what I’m reading and me being an artist myself, knowing how hard we put our all into our voice… it’s sad that the way you guys are speaking so negatively about Tamar, not knowing the reason for her sounding the way that she does. She can’t control what happen to her.

Soo…listen I was watching the performance where she burst the blood vessel. The band was waay to loud n she was straining. She still did ok. On her show she seemed to not listen to her vocal coach. Maybe she should let it heal n lipsync to perfection cause the live shows should be more on point.just my 2 cents.

We need to learn to pray for each other. No one is perfect. Why do people want to compare Tamar to Beyoncé, Mariah or Toni, her sister. They are powerful sisters with their own talents. When you don’t have anything positive to say, check yourself. People will say bad things about you, whatever state you are in. This is why our country is in the condition it is, because people tear down, what they don’t know, or attempt try to learn.
