Pharrell Gets Dapper for GQ’s ‘Men of the Year’ Issue

From “Blurred Lines” to “Get Lucky,” there was one man responsible for this year’s biggest hits. Pharrell was named “Hitmaker of the Year” by GQ in the magazine’s December 2013 issue. The 40-year-old chart-topper shares the “Men of the Year” honor with his peers Justin Timberlake and Kendrick Lamar.

“Both songs are for people who need a break,” said Pharrell of his hits for Robin Thicke and Daft Punk. “There’s a lot of fucked-up travesty in the world. Sometimes you just need a Hallmark card. Sometimes you just need to shake your ass.”

Pharrell, who the magazine called one of the most stylish men on the planet, outdresses the competition in a Comme des Garçons Play tee, BBC jeans, Céline leopard-print slip-ons, and a blue Gucci coat.

He’s too cute. Thank You for being a part of the Queens new album. So much better than any other African-Anerican make on GQ this year. Real legends. Real accomplishments. Real legacies.
