Jennifer Hudson Talks New Album, Shoots Down Marriage Rumors

From the Hollywood Walk of Fame to Hot 97, Jennifer Hudson stopped by “The Angie Martinez Show” on Wednesday. The Oscar winner, who received her very own star last week, dished on her Weight Watchers diet and her role in the Christmas film Black Nativity (She also recorded a hip-hop version of “Silent Night” with Nas for the soundtrack).

The “I Can’t Describe” singer has been in the studio with super-producers Pharrell and Timbaland for her upcoming album, which will be “extremely different” from her past music.

On how her Walk of Fame star compares to her Oscar: “To me, it’s kinda the same feeling, like, ‘Wow.’ It’s something that you don’t really think about, dream about because it doesn’t happen.”

On her new album: “I’ve been working with [Pharrell] quite a bit on my album, and Timbaland as well. This whole project this time around is extremely different and every session felt like a party, like we was getting our jam on.”

On rumors that she got secretly married: “That’s a secret I know nothing about.”

On her husband David Otunga’s Twitter beef with Wale: “I don’t know what that was, but yes, I think he did [beef]. David, get your ass off of Twitter. Go sit down, David. What are you doing? I have to work with these people.”
