Video: Pharrell – ‘Happy’

Pharrell spreads 24 hours of sunshine with the video for “Happy,” a song off the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. Billed as “the world’s first 24-hour music video,” the lengthy clip follows Pharrell and friends around for 24 hours straight—from sunrise to sundown. He dances in alleyways, the grocery store, and a church in scenes shot across various locations in L.A.

Odd Future, Leah LaBelle, Jimmy Kimmel, Magic Johnson, Steve Carrell, Jamie Foxx, and even the Minions make cameos.

The music video will be featured on the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray release of Despicable Me 2 on December 10.

UPDATE: If you don’t have 24 hours to kill, you can now watch the condensed four-minute video below.

    Just finished, trash

  4. Still I Rise!

What the hell is wrong with Pharrell? This is 2013 and in this generation people have A.D.D. with an attention span of only 3 minutes at the most and he has the nerve to expect people to sit and watch 2 years worth of videos? HaHaHa… Nice joke Pharrell very funny.

In a generation where everyone wants to get fed NOW and even then have the shortest attention span. Pharrel does this ?? lol bye mate

  6. what

Everyone is missing the whole point of this. he doesn’t actually expect you to watch the whole thing.

if you actually click on the link of the video it plays in real time. meaning, if it’s 6 o clock where you’re at the video starts at the 6 o clock mark.
the whole idea behind the video is the interaction you get with it. theoretically everyone will see a completely different video each time they watch it

Peoples comments show only one fact:
Attention spans are not the issue.
People being stupid is the real issue!

I think it’s a great concept. Who said everyone had to sit down for 24 hours & watch it straight. Watch what you want when you want. I love the video.
