Justin Bieber Visits Typhoon Victims in Philippines

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is doing his part to help victims of last month’s devastating typhoon in the Philippines, which left nearly 6,000 people dead and more than 1,700 missing.

The teen heartthrob arrived in Manila on Tuesday and met with youth at San Jose Elementary School. He played a game of basketball with the students and performed a mini-concert of songs including “All That Matters” and his Christmas single “Mistletoe.”

“#pray4philippines most touching trip of my life,” tweeted Bieber. “Help and get involved. I saw the devastation first hand today. They need our help.”

The pop superstar is asking his fans to help him support victims of Typhoon Haiyan through fundraising platform Prizeo. In return for their contributions, donors will be entered for a chance to hang out with Bieber in the studio.

During her tour last month, Alicia Keys visited an air force base in Manila and distributed crayons and coloring books to children.

    I will do my best
and try to visit all the Justin Bieber victims around the world!

I will play a game of basketball with the students and perform a mini-concert of songs not including “All That Matters” and his Christmas single “Mistletoe” But great quality music from people who have more talent, charisma and personality than Justin will ever have.

I will tweet “#pray4justinvictims most touching trip of my life,” “Help and get involved. I saw the devastation first hand at one of his concerts. Bieber fans need our musical help.”

I will ask people to help him support victims of bad music through a fundraising platform by Prince, Sting, JayZ and Quincy Jones .
In return for their contributions, donors will be entered for a chance to hang out with Janelle Monae in the studio.

During her tour last month, Alicia Keys visited an air force base in Manila and distributed crayons and coloring books to children but failed to warn people about Justin Bieber .

@Truth Hurts, Why don’t u try for once in your sad ass life to do something worthwhile for victims of tragedy? He raised over $600,000 so far from his goal of 1 Million. That is what someone with humanity does. To make fun of victims of natural disasters doesn’t make you gangsta at all. Make you look like a pathetic ass loser. I bet you had a ball when the Boston bomb tragedy killed all those people.

@blasterUp, let’s not pretend this is not a PR gag!
He needs to clean up his image! Great if he really spends the money on the people who need it!
Still, my point was not degrading what he does for people in need, but the audio noise he sells as music!
    Can you read?
When was the last time you donated money to ANY charity?

Ain’t nobody needed that concert! Why don’t do something more useful? He can save that yawn-fest concert and awkward basketball game for his brutes fanatics.

This kid and all NGOs just want their taxes removed, and don’t come at me with “at least they are helping” cuz they AREN’T. In fact, they mess the victims because they don’t administrate correctly the resources and profits of the donations.

    Justin just wasted their time.
