Lady Gaga is not able to do what she wants. Despite the title of her R. Kelly-assisted single, the pop superstar had to delay her latest video due to reasons beyond her control.
In a note to her fans posted on LittleMonsters.com, the 27-year-old singer opened up about the status of the video, which was expected to premiere in December.
“It is very devastating for someone like me, I devote every moment of my life to creating fantasies for you,” said a distraught Gaga.
She blamed her former business partners for distracting her from her art. “Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result,” she said.
While she didn’t address anyone by name, she may be referring to her former manager Troy Carter, who she parted ways with in November.
But she is ready to start over and fully execute her vision. “The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning,” continued Gaga. “Because those who did not care about ARTPOP‘s success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition.”
Gaga previously shared photos from the provocative Terry Richardson-directed clip co-starring R. Kelly. “It’s unlike any video I’ve ever done. Very Personal,” she tweeted.
The song, which appears on her chart-topping album ARTPOP, has already spawned two remixes featuring Rick Ross and Christina Aguilera.
