Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Heat Up the Cover of Ebony

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

After five years, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are still deep in love. The power couple, who will celebrate their fifth anniversary in April, graces the February 2014 issue of Ebony. The pop diva dons a red dress and heels, while her husband rocks a matching red blazer while standing in a pool.

The issue, which celebrates black love, also features other hot couples including Ciara and Future and LeBron James and Savannah Brinson.

In the magazine, Mariah and Nick open up about love, Dem Babies, and Mariah’s upcoming album The Art of Letting Go.

During her appearance on NBC’s “New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly,” Mariah announced that her new single would drop on Valentine’s Day, with her album to follow in the spring.

    Very nice pic of the couple and I like the idea of them being in the pool with their clothes. That seems so Mariah.

    Say what you want about Nick and Mariah, but they surely do look good together and their twins (Morrocan and Monroe) look even better… LOVE.

    5 years and still on fire? I would sure hope so. That’s an accomplishment nowadays? I can’t…….

    If only she was heating up the charts.

    @Drama, Yes, if only. It’d be great, especially if she were still of the stature she used to be in the 90s, we’d all be better off. That said, she’s done it. More so than the people who are currently heating it up. She earned the title of a legend. Hell, those heating up the charts… what are they doing? Mariah did enough by 26 to be a legend if you wanna talk about it.

    Find me anyone else from her generation who is doing as well as she is even now? You can’t. Jay Z is the closest in terms of coming out in 1996. Male rapper. Pop diva…. no one. J Lo from 99, not so much. Beyonce from 97, but being 32 years old and only solo for 10 years rules that out. Where are they?

    @DRB, well they are relevant and their singles and albums don’t flop…that’s where they are.

    @King Fierce,

    First of all, Mariah’s last single ‘Beautiful’ reached 15 on the Hot 100, and subsequently went platinum. That’s clearly exponentially good especially for someone who’s been in the business for 20+ years. Let’s see how the current artists do in 20 years, and I bet you’ll change your tune. And before you try it, Art of Letting Go didn’t even get sent to radio so essentially it’s no flop.

    @DRB, if you are a legend, stay a legend. Don’t throw dirt on your name, don’t risk the legacy you build all this years UNLESS you are coming with something REVOLUTIONARY. Mariah did and is done.

    They hit 5 years in 2013. 2014 would make 6. Simple fact checking does wonders…
