Young Jeezy Arrested for Battery, False Imprisonment, & Terroristic Threats

Young Jeezy

Young Jeezy is starting out the new year on the wrong foot. The rapper was arrested in Atlanta for battery, false imprisonment, and making terroristic threats against his son.

The 36-year-old, born Jay Jenkins, got into a fight with his son in a bathroom in September 2012, reports TMZ. During the altercation, he allegedly threw him into a glass shower door, punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, and threw him on the bed and pummeled him.

According to police documents, Jeezy choked his son and said, “I will kill you.” Jeezy’s son claims that his father said, “I will put a bullet in your head right now,” adding, “If I could get away with it, I would kill you.”

Jeezy turned himself in to authorities on Friday after a grand jury warrant was issued. He was released on $45,000 bond.

“We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately,” Jeezy’s attorney told TMZ. “At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family’s privacy.”

Stop looking at others to represent your race. None of us can control the actions of someone else… If Jeezy did what this article states, then it’s on him to take responsibility for his actions.

Racists will grab any excuse to generalize, so this won’t be an exception. It’s all wrong.

@Chloé Magnolia, I don’t judge people for their races. But many people categorize and misjudge others because of races.

In this day and age we can no longer call such a thing ignorance, it’s racism and above all laziness.

I just learned not to depend on anyone to represent me. I gotta do it myself.

@Chloé Magnolia, I’m with you but in @Grant’s defense other people of other races will be thinking that. I don’t think it was @Grant intentions to shame anyone. He was just stating what unfortunately will be on ignorant peoples minds.

I didn’t think his comment was out of line. I can understand why he would feel that way, but it’s wasted energy.

I’m just wondering, if this September 2012, then why is it just coming to light a year and 3 months later? If Jeezy did do this, then that is terrible and no way to treat your child. It’s one thing to whoop your child’s ass for doing something bad, but he took it way too far, the extreme, threatening to and claiming he wants to kill him? What the hell did the son do?

throwing your 16 year old threw a glass door, and choking the crap out of him is a little much. However, let him be legal and see what goes down. Kids these days are very disrespectful. With that being said, as a parent it is your job of setting a good example for your children at all times. Having multiple women, involved in shootings, getting arrested for DUIs, not paying for child support are all examples of what not to do as a father. The entertainment/hip-hop culture breeds this type of behavior. When you’re 36 its time to hang it up, and be a responsible adult.

I wonder why? Do y’all think Jeezy’s son is gay and he wanted to “beat the gay out of him?” I’m sorry but you can’t do that.

“terroristic threats”?! No one sees anything wrong with this terminology?! It was a death threat, yes, but equating it to taking down the trade center, that’s messed up. Side note 16 year old son with Jeezy as a role model is probably putting himself at risk and Jeezy doesn’t know how to deal with it. THAT’S NOT TERRORISM

I guess he thought it then did it. Something you shouldn’t always do.
