Tamar Braxton Brings It ‘All the Way Home’ on ‘Ellen’

Tamar Braxton

Tamar Braxton wasted no time getting back to work after the holiday break. On Wednesday, the R&B songstress appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” where she performed her Love and War single “All the Way Home” and showed off photos of her 7-month-old son Logan.

“He got the faces from me,” said the proud mom.

She also flaunted the massive diamond ring she received from her husband Vince. “I don’t even know if it’s a Christmas present because my husband owed me a push gift and I didn’t get it, so I think this is like a combination,” she said.

On January 26, Tamar will attend the Grammys, where she is nominated for three awards. Her talk show, “The Real,” has also been picked up for fall 2014.

She did that… I was starting to lose faith in ole Tay Tay. Those past few performances have been awful, but I’m glad she found that balance of giving the performance some spunk AND delivering vocally. Nice job Tamar.

She doesn’t sound comfortable performing life. Better than previous performances, though. I am beginning to think her voice is fine tuned (via technology) in the studio.

Maybe I just have high standards for live performance because there was a time when singers didn’t make excuses regardless of their ailments.

@kip, I think she sounds great! But I see your point about her being comfortable. However, I think maybe the choreo they give her throws her off a bit. She need to just stick with a mic stand and not do all the movement. But this is her best live performance since her vocal cords healed.

@wabash and michigan, Well She Did Bust A Blood Vessel In Her Vocal Chord The Day Her Album Came Out and She’s Been Everywhere Since The Release Performing So They’re Probably Just Now Healing All The Way

She did that. Much better than her other live performances in the past month or so. I’m glad she finally found the balance of giving her performance some sass and still delivering vocally.

She did that. Can’t lie. I was just about to lose faith in ole Tay Tay delivering a song live. I’m glad she found the balance of giving the performance her own sass and attitude while still delivering the song vocally. Honestly though, she really carried the song well here. Clearly she’s a great singer when she stops OVER PERFORMING.

It boggles me…her live performances that is. On Tamar and Vince she used to perform really good. I remember when she was rehearsing love and war with the band I was pleasently surprised. But something has happened to her voice and love performances. I really don’t understand. Lol.

Yall find a reason 2 hate her. Her voice is still healing plus she hasnt had much time to rest it causes shes booked! But But having busted two blood vessels in her vocal chords… plus if u watch the ahow she got sick…. she still isnt letting that stop her dream. Its been 13 yrs since her first debut album… and her second one is grammy nominated… cant hate it… so all u haters step ya game up and be better. She won!

Jeez, she’s not that good!! Am surprised how she got nominated for 3 grammys..or is it cos she’s toni braxton’s sister? She’s just an average singer to me, nothing special about her
