50 Cent on Return to Music: ‘I’m Ready Now’

50 Cent

50 Cent stopped by the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas for the fourth year in a row. In addition to promoting his SMS Audio headphones, the hip-hop mogul shared details on his long-awaited return to music.

His album Animal Ambition: An Untamed Desire to Win is due in the first quarter of 2014. “I took a long time to start launching music again. I’m ready now,” Fif told HLN.

The delay was due to some behind-the-scenes business. “It took me so long to get the business portion of music straight,” he explained in an interview with Sonic. “I went through an audit process ’cause [Before I Self Destruct] was the last record required for Interscope Records.”

Animal Ambition will precede Street King Immortal, his first proper release since 2009′s Before I Self Destruct.

“The project is about prosperity,” he said of Animal Ambition. “I’ve got an interesting way of writing it. I wrote it from a distorted viewpoint. … The overall theme is ambition and prosperity.”

He offered fans a taste of his upcoming music with “This Is Murder Not Music,” which he released on New Year’s Day.

In addition to music, 50 recently shot the action thriller The Prince with Bruce Willis and John Cusack and is producing a scripted drama called “Power” for Starz.

seriously, he simply should retire and live for whatever else he has or work in whatever else he can. This happens when you spend your easy-earned money in materialistic things when you are famous. When you fade hard in the near future you have to change your lifestyle to another one more humble and that is when this n.ggas get mad and want to come back.

His negativity towards other artists really got in the way of his music and caused the general public to lose interest in him. I don’t think he’ll ever be able to reclaim the success he had when he first came out.

@MMG-SUEDE, he is no Legend at all. He just had 2 good albums and a really good run for like 4 years. that’s all. he was lucky and a few good songs, but that does not make him a legend at all.

50, just go and retire. your music has been shit for the last 5 years. you made some very good business decisions and made enough money out of your hits, so, please, just leave it
