Video: Jennifer Lopez – ‘Same Girl’ [Teaser]

Jennifer Lopez

Jenny is going back to the block. The pop diva returns to her roots in the video for her new single “Same Girl.” In the Gomillion & Leupold-directed clip, which was shot in her native Bronx last month, she dances in the rain and waits at the station for the 6 train while wearing a Yankees cap.

The song was written by Chris Brown and produced by Amadeus, Chizzy, and Ryan M. Tedder.

“Cause I’m on the same grind/ No I never changed I/ Loving everyday I/ Know that I’m the same Jenny/ From around the way now,” sings J.Lo.

She has been in the studio with Future, Big Sean, Robin Thicke, Sia, and RedOne working on her upcoming 10th album.

“It’s Jennifer Lopez, she’s done it all. From dance to urban records, so that’s what we’re doing,” said RedOne, who signed Lopez to his 2101 Records/Capitol Records imprint and is executive producing the project. “We’re doing an album that has everything. She’s an incredible A&R herself, so she loves music, she knows what she wants, and I’m just helping her to do that album.”

On Wednesday, J.Lo will make her return to “American Idol” alongside judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr.

Watch a 45-second sneak peek of “Same Girl” below.

This is good! Something in the instrumental of this song reminds me of her “Fresh Out The Oven” song. It’s cool. I like the video… Her voice is “limited” but she has a nice tone and texture so it fits! I think I am going to like this song a lot…

Bitch this is Jennifer FUCKING :Lopez…she has nothing left to prove to ya’ll. And on top of all of her accomplishments she still remains grounded and humble. Celebrate this woman, don’t tear her down. She started as a background dancer, now look at her.

She went from stupid house club horrible music to tryna be ghetto again !?

She lost any type of street credibility for a long time.
No one is here to hear JlO on a hip hop beat.

If you are the same girl, rent a home in the bronx and start living….
It’s just nasty to use the bronx for your own good.

do we hear These same arguments when Jay Z is dropping a new song???
Interesting that a woman is losing her credibility but someone like Jay Z does not.

I personally like this song a lot. It is a cute jam and I always loved Jennifer’s beautiful tone in her voice.

Let’s be all!a little nostalgic for a while. I think everyone out there loved some urban Jenny Lo back in the day: I’m Real, I’m Gonna be Alright, Ain’t it Funny. Great timeless tracks and so is SameGirl!
