Willow Smith Flaunts Wild Style for V Magazine

Willow Smith

Willow Smith is quite the fashionista. The 13-year-old singer shows off her one-of-a-kind style in the pages of V magazine. In the photos, shot by the famed Karl Lagerfeld, Willow models DSquared jeans, Tommy Hilfiger underwear, and Moncler x Pharrell sunglasses as she poses in front of a Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Will and Jada’s daughter explained why she turned down the titular role in the upcoming remake of Annie.

“I just wanted to chill, and be at home, and decompress, and just find out what I wanna do and where I stand on this planet, with the little tiny place we have,” said Willow (via E! Online).

The seventh grader has decided to follow her own path. “I just feel like I want to do it different than the world’s ready for,” said the “Whip My Hair” hitmaker.

Part of her ambitions include music. On Monday, she dropped a collaboration with her brother Jaden called “5.”

New Music: August Alsina f/ Jeezy – ‘Make It Home’

Make It Home

Following the release of his breakout EP Downtown: Life Under the Gun, August Alsina is gearing up for the April 15 release of his full-length debut Testimony.

The New Orleans crooner connects with fellow Def Jam artist Jeezy on the album’s first single “Make It Home,” co-written by The Exclusives and produced by The Featherstones. On the powerful and personal song, August chronicles his tale of struggle, hustle, and survival.

“As an artist, I struggle with how much of myself to give to the people,” said August. “How much I want my personal business to be judged. I think the EP struck good a balance of who I am and what I’ve been through, but that was just the beginning. Nothing is held back on Testimony. When people hear my story, and see that I came from nothing, they’ll see that it’s possible for them too.”

The album’s release date coincides with the birthday of his older brother, Melvin LaBranch III, who inspired August to pursue music. Melvin was tragically gunned down in New Orleans in 2010.

Listen to August hustle his way to a better life on the gritty anthem.
