TDE’s newest signees SZA and Isaiah Rashad have been thrust into the spotlight since signing to the hip-hop label last year. Rap-Up TV caught up with the rising stars at “REVOLT Live” in Hollywood, where they shared details about their upcoming projects.
On Tuesday, Isaiah will drop his highly-anticipated album Cilvia Demo. “It’s pretty tight,” said the Chattanooga MC, while SZA was less modest.
“His project is amazing,” she said. “It’s probably one of the most inspiring pieces of work I’ve ever heard.”
The 14 tracks include collaborations with TDE’s own ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and two with SZA herself.
The New Jersey-raised songstress has her own project on the way. “This is probably the hardest I’ve ever worked on anything in my entire life,” she shared. “This might be the first thing I’ve ever been proud of—ever.”
They will be supporting their labelmate Kendrick Lamar at Sunday’s Grammys, where he has seven nominations.
So what can we expect from his performance with Imagine Dragons? “It’s amazing. It’s gonna be crazy, crazy,” said SZA.
