Ryan Lewis and Macklemore

Daft Punk and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis struck gold at the Grammys. The French electronic duo were the big winners at Sunday’s show with five awards, while the indie sensations landed four awards.

Daft Punk’s wins included Album of the Year for Random Access Memories and Record of the Year for “Get Lucky,” their collaboration with Pharrell and Nile Rodgers.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis capped off their triumphant year by winning four awards including Best New Artist, Best Rap Album for The Heist, and Best Rap Song for “Thrift Shop.”

Lorde became the youngest songwriter to win Song of the Year for her hit “Royals.” The 17-year-old New Zealand singer-songwriter also took home Best Pop Solo Performance.

Justin Timberlake won three awards including Best R&B Song, Best Music Video for “Suit & Tie,” and Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Holy Grail.”

Jay Z shared his two awards with Justin Timberlake and brought one back for his daughter. “I wanna tell Blue, look, daddy got a gold sippy cup for you,” said the hip-hop mogul while accepting the award for Rap/Sung Collaboration.

While she was absent, Rihanna took home Best Urban Contemporary Album for Unapologetic, and Alicia Keys added to her Grammy collection by winning Best R&B Album for Girl On Fire.

Kendrick Lamar delivered one of the best performances of the night with Imagine Dragons, but was shut out of all seven categories he was nominated in.
