Lauryn Hill Performs ‘Final Hour’ at Bowery Ballroom

Lauryn Hill

Lauryn Hill doesn’t settle for ordinary. During her “Homecoming” concert at New York’s Bowery Ballroom, the former Fugee put a fresh spin on “Final Hour,” a track off The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The show occurred in November, but she has just released some professionally-shot footage.

“I have to make these things sustainable to perform,” Ms. Hill told the crowd. “‘Cause you wouldn’t want me to be like a robot, do the same thing every night.”

She will continue her “Homecoming Series” through February with upcoming shows in Red Bank, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Miami.

    love this woman

    @No Angel, Love her too. What I love even more however, is that she has been active at the same time that Nicki has been in the studio. Lauryn has already professed her respect for Nicki, so . . I smell the potential for a collaboration. !

    @Mandela Barb, TF are you talking about?

    She rarely works with anyone I highly doubt if Minaj would be next on her list. IJS

    @Mandela Barb,
    NO disrespect to Nicki. She is amazing.. doing her thing. etc. etc. etc.
    BUT as a Lauryn Hill fan.. the last person I wanna see her work with is Nicki. I dont think its time.. maybe in the future. But hey.. thats just me.

    i caught beyonce shade in her statement. but the discrepciancy is that beyonce has given herself the option while in top form to deliver, she can always digress from now on. as where when lauryn was in top form she didnt deliver. the people didnt get a chance to hear lauryn perform her hits live as they sounded on the album

    sid Reply:, she took beyonce by the hand, brought her on stage and shouted her out at her own show. She was commenting on her own music she ain’t say shit abt beyonce there’s no fuckin shade everybody isn’t caddy and smartmouthed. Chill. I’m so tired of hearing shade.

    @sid, A-M-E-N!!!!!!!!!

    Mandela Barb Reply:, Come correct.

  3. Getting Close

    Tbh I think Nicki would deliver. It never fails that when she has to she delivers. I think she would step up to the plate and deliver w/ Lauryn. Lauryn Hill is one of her favorite artists so she knows her style, what she stands for, etc. It could be nice.
