DMX to Fight George Zimmerman in Celebrity Boxing Match

DMX and Zimmerman

It’s about to get ugly (up in here, up in here). DMX is stepping in the ring to fight George Zimmerman in a celebrity boxing match.

Celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman made the official announcement on Tuesday night.

According to TMZ, the platinum rapper was selected out of 15,000 people who applied to fight the former neighborhood watchman, who was found not guilty in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

“I am going to beat the living f**k out him,” said X. “I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f**k him right up.” He also threatened to literally urinate on Zimmerman’s face.

DMX, 43, will face off in a three-round match with the 30-year-old Zimmerman, who has been training for months.

The date, time, and location of the fight will be announced at a news conference next Wednesday.

The celebrity boxing match was reportedly Zimmerman’s idea. He told Radar Online that boxing was his hobby, even prior to the “incident.”

Zimmerman had also said that he wanted to fight Kanye West because the rapper has a history of attacking “defenseless people.”

I’ll watch just for the comedy of it all.

It is a shame that this case was blown up out of proportion just because it was an election year. That’s the only reason this case made it to the news. Democrats stirring up blacks to get out and vote.

In the meanwhile a Florida case worthy of an outcry, going on right now, is barely mentioned in the news. It is the case of a teenage black boy who was killed at a gas station by a white man because of loud music. No election year, so no attention. And the black babies and teenagers all across the nation continue to die and no one cares.

@sandra, I won’t be watching this “fight” because both parties need to have a seat and get their lives together. While I do feel the Trayvon Martin case was made into a spectacle, I don’t feel it was blown out of proportion. And you’re correct, the case of black teen being shot at the gas station is just as much of an injustice. Florida is a kid killing state, let’s not Kaylee Anthony’s death. The “Stand Your Ground” law needs to be banished.

@sandra, the African American boy that lost his life at the gas station was Jordan Davis. His case did not entirely go unnoticed. I know so because I personally wrote a paper on him. I wouldn’t say Trayvon Martin’s death was blown out of proportion. A better argument would be that Jordan did not get as much attention as Trayvon. But it would be wrong to say that only one of the two incidents was “worthy of an outcry”, because they equally lost their lives unjustly.

@from france, if trayvon was white Zimmerman would be in jail.

@from france, It is a racist crime. He racial profiled Trayvon to be a misfit. And please, if Trayvon was white and Zimmerman was black, Zimmerman would’ve been found guilty. Every time something happens to some white person it gets full media coverage, they get the best lawyers and everyone is supposed to care about. How dare you say Trayvon is only talked about because he was a black kid who got killed when you have about 99% of these hate crimes from white people getting barely any coverage. On the other hand about 99% of the time when something happens to a white kid the world is supposed to stop. Get your Uncle Tom self out of here.

@John, is more when a gay or black person is in trouble, the public in general make them the victims.

@from france, You’re a fucking idiot. Trayvon was minding his own damn business and was profiled for his skin color and his attire. More than anything, he was UNARMED. Worry about France and keep your nose out of US affairs. You know nothing.

@Grace, I’m sorry. Something doesn’t fit here. If he was unarmed and “minding his own damn business”, why Zimmerman wasn’t found guilty? There are some facts you are hiding…

@from france, So, are you still in France? Have you ever been in the U.S.? Are you even a person of color? If the answer to any of these questions is “No,” then you should keep your fingers off your keys in this matter. John just gave you some education. Look up “Missing White Woman Syndrome” and holler back? Otherwise, stay in France and stay ignorant. That said, I DO think that the American media is a shade-master that no one can ever approach. They tell us that black people are so dangerous for white people, b/c the media doesn’t care when black people kill each other, which, apparently, they do FAR more than kill white people. It was some kind of phenomenon that a black person’s death actually got so much attention/coverage, but unfortunately it was because it was race-bait. When a black child/woman/person goes missing, is the media blanketed by the tragedy? No, or very rarely. The American media says “‘you people’ are mostly criminals, to be hated and feared, are not important, and we don’t care if you die – but we do care if you kill one of ours or if the story can create more racial division.” But I digress. When I visit other countries and what I’m told I am is what the media tells the people to think I am, I know the media has done its job. And it stays doing it’s job.

@FormerlyFromTokyo, Anyway, have a gun is so stupid, I’m so happy to live in a country like France where weapons are forbidden, there’s less crazy people and crazy crime

    Africa X Reply:

@from france, you obviously lack empathy. George Zimmerman committed a serious crime by killing an unarmed teen. That is a serious crime. Justice dictates that he at least deserves to be punished. What if you were the victim’s parent? The reason this story is linked to racism is because the main reason Zimmerman thought Trayvon Martin looked suspicious in the first place was because he was black. If you do not have anything meaningful to say, then keep your mouth shut.

At least say “contender” or something else, but celebrity??? And third, DMX and Radar Online pieces of useless sh.ts. How freakin disgusting on both parties. George Zimmerman should do himself a favor and just stay out of the news! People literally want to murder him. He’ll be killed before the match even starts by a bystander with a gun!

I find this both sad and hilarious. Sad, because he’s capitalizing off of murdering a young boy and is proclaiming himself a celebrity. Hilarious, because DMX is not someone you want to box with.
