Video: Angel Haze f/ Sia – ‘Battle Cry’

Angel Haze

Angel Haze takes a trip down memory lane in the stirring video for “Battle Cry” featuring Sia, the latest release from her debut Dirty Gold.

The Detroit-born rapper walks down a desert road while reflecting on her tumultuous childhood, from being abandoned by her parents to being molested. She copes with the haunting memories by writing them down and recording them.

“My video. My life. Hope it shines a light,” tweeted Angel.

Watch her leave her painful past behind.

@Mrunhateable, oh yeah because whether the album is in the charts or not determines it’s quality? lol your comment is pointless nicki is safe and established in the rap game so you really have no point to prove?

@justmaopinion, my comment was simply a reply to the 1st commenter who felt the need to bring nicki down to raise angel up. There’s room for more than 1female rapper but I’m sick of haters coming for nicki just to praise they fav then wonder why we come for them

@kate, yes this is amazing. Angel is very underrated. Sadly.
but do not question Nicki Minaj as a rapper..you clearly are clueless about her capabilities.
You need to listen to Autobiography..maybe you’ll shut up then.

    Oh Reply:

@YxxngNika, U know whats funny? Yall Barbz always have to reference an OLD song from Nicki catalogue to prove she can rap. That’s how you know her new shit is trash

@kate, This is a really touching video. I can’t lie, I got a little teary eyed. I love Angel so much, and she’s still young, so all she needs to do is keep trucking and she’ll catch on eventually. For any bitch that’s hating, they clearly didn’t watch.
Mandela Barb rates this 4.8 / 5 Stars.

@Mandela Barb, YES! Angel needs to be patient. Nicki started trying since 2004, did three mixtapes and in 2009 she was finally noticed. Hardwork pays off. I bet Angel will spit fire in 2016 if she keeps practicing.

@kate, yes, good job Angel. And, answering your question, yes, Nicki is a rapper. You can notice that in her songs she do something called rap. When you do that (rap) in your songs, you are defined as a rapper. You’re welcome!

A Real female rapper with a simple video with a powerful message a lot of us can relate to. Nice job Angel Haze stay true to urself and don’t sellout or become fake.

I am a die hard Nicki Minaj fan. She is without a doubt the QUEEN of rap. HOWEVER, I will give credit when due.. Angel Haze put in WORK on this song. I haven’t heard the album but I think I’ll check it out now. I’m far more impressed by Angel Haze than any other female rappers trying to come up. Keep up the good work!

I need this girl to win more!!! I just can’t ride Iggy flow and Azealia is a psycho. Liked the song, I think is a good crossover record (MILES better than The Monster)
