New Music: Rick Ross f/ Diddy & French Montana – ‘Nobody’

Nobody

Rick Ross channels the Notorious B.I.G. on his remake of the rap legend’s 1997 Life After Death album cut “You’re Nobody (Til Somebody Kills You),” which is set to appear on his album Mastermind. Diddy, who co-produced the original song, lends his production skills and an intro, while French Montana holds down the hook.

“The goal for Mastermind was to create a classic album,” said Puff, who also serves as the album’s co-executive producer. “Once we put all our superpowers together we knew there was nothing stopping us from accomplishing our goal.”

Due March 4, Mastermind also features Kanye West, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, and The Weeknd.

    The only thing that ross and biggie have in common are size. This is an embarrassment to Big’s legacy. Nearly 17 years latter and Diddy is still exploiting him. This remake is terrible. Let big rest in peace or put dudes on the song that big actually would have worked with or could hold it down lyrically. Not these sad excuses for “rappers”.

    See most of you on here don’t even know where this song originates, this is some classical rap from Rozay; #MASTERMIND on the way

    @MMG-SUEDE, I know where it originates from but Rozay just murdered a classic with the worst rapper around French Montana with his haaaa every 5 seconds he’s ridiculous.

    @MMG-SUEDE,
    I think the reason why people are mad.. is because THEY DO know where this originates from. It may be “classical” Rozay.. but lyrically he aint close to Biggie.. n then he puts wack a$$ montana.. lawd

    Eh.. this song will be in the trash bin. But I’m looking forward to that Kanye and Big Sean track, the snippet sounds incredible.

    I love this remake by Rick Ross! It sounds very mellow but gangsta and smoove. Don’t care about the haters. I will cop the bawse new joint as always.

    As a massive BIG fan this is terrible. I am sick of diddy using big’s name to make money. Everybody knows that diddy is a user. I DONT WANT ANYONE REMAKING A BIG SONG UNLESS ITS JAY-Z OR LIL KIM

    The original version is an absolute classic, with B.I.G. at his peak. So effortless. It ain’t that kind of magic with Ross. And, oddly enough, I think French’s chorus is actually a high point of the song.

    French Montana is one of those rappers who should be seen and not heard. The only good song was probably “Pop That” It is sad that the rap game is somewhat going downhill. French Montana, Future are two rappers that would either ruin your song or depending on the beat of the song just maybe just maybe make it seem alright.
