New Music: Ashanti f/ Beenie Man – ‘First Real Love’

First Real Love

Ashanti heads to the islands with the “King of the Dancehall” Beenie Man on her flirty new single “First Real Love,” produced by Teetimus. The R&B diva effortlessly rides the riddim, while the Jamaican superstar adds his reggae flavor.

“It’s my first real love and I don’t want to lose it now / But every time we get so close, I feel that love will lose us both / It’s my first real love out of all,” coos Ashanti.

The song is taken off her upcoming album Braveheart, due March 4. In addition to Beenie, she has collaborated with Rick Ross, French Montana, and Jeremih.

Hear Ashanti find true love on the bouncy banger.

Wrong single choice…shoulda picked “Runaway” or “No Where.”

@King, No actually this is the right single choice. This is a huge crossover record. She will be dropping another single after this one though either Count or Runaway.

She will forever lose because she don’t make the right choices. you have sooo many other hits on that album besides this. “Count” would have put her back out there so fast.

@2bad2bme, She knows what shes doing. This is a crossover single her next single is going to be either Count Or Runaway. Count is more of a third or fourth single. This is a good follow up to I Got It.

@King you sound dumb I’m a fan and I don’t like Runaway its a album song and that’s it! First Real Love , Count , Don’t Tell Me No , Early In The Morning are the only other potential singles that could be a hit. This could be a huge crossover hit!!

Hell No! This should not be no dam single first of all she don’t even have no verse she has a hook and a chorus that’s it why would you ever even make this a single when you only sing the hook and chorus it shouldn’t even be on the album fr fr I know on the album the track is longer cause it’s first real love/outro but I don’t know if it’s gon be two different things or not but none the less this should NOT be a single I mean don’t get me wrong I like her parts but this isn’t single worthy sorry Shan try again hun

Its always hit and miss with Ashanti. I actually like a majority of the tracks on the album (just from snippets). And although I ‘like’ this track I don’t think its single material leading up to the release. She def should’ve release either Count, Early In the Morning, Don’t Tell Me No, or Love Games.

Ughh she should’ve had a poll for fans to choose the next single. I’m disappointed!!!!
