R. Kelly Readies ‘White Panties,’ Teases Album with Mary J. Blige

The bedroom keeps calling R. Kelly. The R&B veteran is readying a sequel to his baby-making album Black Panties.

In an interview with V Magazine, Kellz announced the follow-up to his 2013 album.

“It’s called White Panties. And you can expect a whole other level,” he said.

The album is halfway done already, he told Rap-Up in December. “It’s gonna be another 12 Play album,” said Kellz. “It’s gonna be that type of album because there’s been a lovemaking album drought…and I’ve come to save the day.”

He is also planning to hit the road with Mary J. Blige on the upcoming “King & Queen” tour and there are talks of a joint album entitled King & Queen.

“I’m in the studio right now working on a song for me and Mary,” he said. “I’m even looking forward to proposing that we do a whole album together. But this is the first I’ve mentioned it. The King & Queen album.”

If that wasn’t enough, Kellz is gearing up for his first Christmas album, 12 Nights of Christmas, due this holiday season.

In addition to his candid interview, he gets intimate with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk in the Music Issue of V Magazine, on newsstands now.

    @Kenyon Green,

    You know your black girlfriends jealous but we want a major hit album from u so bad we’ll put up with it. Black panties was unusual in that it only had a couple of hits and no 12 play style. We need 12 play and a tour with you and Mary j. Go Kels Go! King and Queen!

    @Justin Timberlake, Yet you cared enough to post on an article about him? Go die. His last album had the highest opening week for any R&B artist. Now fuck off.

    Good news for me as a Kells fan, I am glad to hear a sequel to the black panties album because I liked that album. I loved the previous soul albums love letter and write me back. So now it is only fair to release the albums compared to 12 Play and the sexual R&B Kells albums that made him very known back in the 90′s. I also would like to hear a Christmas album from Kells and also a duet album with MJB that would be awesome. The two legends have contributed so much to R&B and Kells has proved his music genius years ago. As a 90′s R&B fan I dislike when I read people saying no ome is checking for these artist or give it up or your career is over. Without these legends these new artist would not be here. And let’s be honest Kells has wrote, produced and sung some of the biggest most known hits of today and the 90′s. He has nothing more to prove when it comes to platinum album sales he has been there and done that. He is like Jordan he just does music for the love of the Art of R&B. Keep making music Kells, King Of R&B.
