Timbaland Previews Michael Jackson Collaboration ‘Slave to the Rhythm’

Timbaland and Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson is getting the Timbaland treatment. As part of his “Timbaland Thursdays” series, the super-producer has released a snippet of “Slave to the Rhythm,” his collaboration with the King of Pop. The minute-long track features unreleased vocals from the late legend over one of Timbo’s coveted beats.

“She’s a slave to the rhythm of love,” sings MJ.

A song of the same name leaked in 2010, while just last year, a pop-dance version featuring Justin Bieber surfaced.

In August, Timbaland announced that he had been working with L.A. Reid on a posthumous project from Jackson and that the first single would be a song entitled “Chicago.”

Get a taste of what Timbo has in store.

This was obviously a song that MJ and Timbaland did while MJ was still alive, which means that Michael approves of it, so why are people so upset that it’s being released now?

    I think it sounds good.

people get mad when Drake dropped the Aaliyah track because she wasn’t alive, so why is Timbo not getting any sh!t?

@joe, bcuz unlike Drake,Timbo is a well respected soon to be legendary Dj if not already lengendary in the Hip hop, rnb, and pop music world. I normanlly don’t like for deceased legends or trendsetters like aaliyah, whitney, and ,Mj etc. Music to be toyed with if not done tastely or right period. Timbo more than likely knew Mj to be doing this. I have nothing against drake besides the fact he needs to leave ymcmb label bcuz they r a joke now and its not good for his career now. Drake and Aaliyah never met each other. Drake was in elementary school learning addition, subtration and times table while Aaliyah was making millions.

@joe, Because Timbo actually worked with this man when he was alive unlike Drake. He and Aaliyah never even met. Hell, Aaliyah never even knew he existed.

@joe, because they asked Tim to do the project. MJ talked to Tim on the phone and told him he liked his music. He was even scheduled to work with B.I.G. before he passed. Tim loves MJ’s as much as we do IMO I think he will do it to the best of his ability

No this was not obviously a song they did while he was alive they might have planned to work together but they didn’t. and it was a song MJ did in the late 90s that didn’t make his album and the full original version all ready leaked on the internet a few years ago and it is a lot better then this version sounds go find it on the internet it is probably still on youtube too
