Beyoncé Breaks Down in Tears During Final ‘Mrs. Carter’ Show

Beyoncé

Four continents, 132 shows, and nearly one year later, Beyoncé wrapped her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” in Lisbon, Portgual on Thursday.

The singer was overcome with emotion as she addressed fans during her last show at MEO Arena.

“If ya’ll didn’t know, tonight makes 132 shows,” said Bey as the crowd cheered. “Tonight is the last show of the Mrs. Carter Show.”

She also acknowledged her band and crew. “We started a year ago. I wanna say this has been such a journey. In the past year, we’ve been through so much together, the Super Bowl, shooting the videos, all of these shows.”

“When I first started the tour, my baby was not even walking. I just want you to know that I am so lucky,” she said before breaking down in tears.

“I’m giving ya’ll the ugly cry,” joked Bey.

She also expressed her gratitude to her BeyHive. “Thank you for allowing me to have a career, and when I fall, you lift me up. And when I’m hungry, you feed me. And I just want to give you my light. I dedicate this song to you guys,” she said before performing “XO.”

During the final concert, Jay Z also joined his wife on stage to perform “Drunk in Love.”

“The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” kicked off in Serbia in April 2013 and traveled throughout Europe, North America, South America, and Australia, grossing around $200 million.

I think she had a true moment of gratefulness. She had to speak on it and absorb it. Beautiful moment.

Of course they’ll be ppl that will write it off as a stunt for sympathy or to “prove she’s not a Devil worshiper/Illuminati/whatever,” but you know… can’t stop stupid ppl.

Now can she take her smut/music home to the privacy of her bedroom.

It take a village and she and JayZ have been so irresponsible and reckless in terms of what they put out to impressionable youth, and yes it take a village. The fact that you all love them doesn’t change this fact.

They need to use their influence more responsibly, as it takes a village. What has society gained from them, a whole lot of materialistic, lace fronted, anti-education illiterates

@True That, And dont forget that the biggest smut example they put out there is, how to neglect and mentally abuse your child, sending it out with a nappy head, shaking with fear from photographers with no stable home sleeping in strange hotel rooms. All of that $200 million will go for her child’s lifetime of therapy. The first 7 years are the most important.

I’m so happy for her. She deserves her succes. She puts so much effort into everything she does. She is succesful because she is one hell of a hard working African-American woman. She’s selfmade. There aren’t many like her in the music industry. I seriously can say that she’s the MJ of our generation. She’s ICONIC. She’s legend in the making. #markmywords #KingBey #BowDown
