Big Sean and J. Cole helped celebrate change at the first-ever We Day California, the world’s largest youth empowerment event, at Oakland’s Oracle Arena on Wednesday.

The rappers pitched in alongside Seth Rogen, Selena Gomez, Magic Johnson, and Orlando Bloom to inspire 16,000 youth from over 400 schools across California to take action on local and global causes.

Big Sean hit the stage to perform his empowering track “Nothing Is Stopping You” and “Beware” as the students and teachers sang along.

“Karma is real. How you act and treat people will come back to you,” said the Detroit MC, who celebrated his 26th birthday this week.

The festivities closed out with J. Cole, who rocked the house with his uplifting single “Crooked Smile.”
