Chance the Rapper

Chance the Rapper is recovering at home after falling ill last week.

His manager, Patrick Corcoran, posted a letter on Twitter updating fans on the Acid Rap MC’s condition.

Just hours before his performance during the second weekend of Coachella on Sunday, the 21-year-old canceled due to an undisclosed illness.

His manager has since revealed that Chance had 104-degree fever and was unable to speak due to the inflammation in his throat. He was admitted to the hospital and has since returned to his L.A. home where he is recovering.

His doctors attributed his illness to a combination of the flu and tonsillitis. He is scheduled to see a specialist this week to determine if surgery is necessary.

Per doctors’ orders, he has canceled his remaining shows during the week of April 23-27.
