Beyoncé and Jay Z Announce ‘On the Run Tour’

On the Run Tour

Mr. and Mrs. Carter are taking the show “On the Run” this summer. Beyoncé and Jay Z have put the rumors to rest and officially announced dates for a co-headlining stadium tour.

“On the Run Tour: Beyoncé and Jay Z,” named after their collaboration on Jay Z’s album Magna Carta…Holy Grail, kicks off on June 25 at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium.

The 16-date North American trek will play stadiums including East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium, Atlanta’s Georgia Dome, Toronto’s Rogers Centre, and L.A.’s Rose Bowl, before winding down August 5 at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.

The tour, in partnership with Beyoncé’s charitable organization #BeyGOOD, will donate $1 from every ticket purchased to the Shawn Carter Foundation to support students.

Both superstars recently completed solo tours. Beyoncé is fresh off her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour,” while Jay Z wrapped his “Magna Carter World Tour” earlier this year. Last summer, Jay Z co-headlined the “Legends of the Summer” stadium tour with Justin Timberlake.

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, May 2, with a pre-sale beginning Wednesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. local time.

Chase cardholders will receive advance access to purchase tickets beginning Tuesday, April 29, at 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. local time.

    Intrigued to see how this would turn out?

    Would the average Jay-Z fan sit through the Beyonce Section and sing/dance along to ‘Single Ladies’?

    @KENBARBUK, it’s like you’re saying all Jay-Z fan’s are men.

    @KENBARBUK, some thought the same of the jayz/justin timberlake concert. what they did was mesh 10 songs of each of theirs into one, allowing both to be onstage at the same time. then jay had a set & justin had a set. then they came out together & did their collabs or a couple of jay’s collabs w/ justin singing the hook (like forever young, excuse me miss). it will probably be a similar format. anyway it goes, i will be there on 7/15!

    Not trying to be a complainer but I feel like they always go the same cities/venues and the same people get to see them. I would love to see them both in concert but it would be a super investment to go to these cities that aren’t anywhere close to me and buy the expensive ticket. It just baffles me and I wish it was different. Are they losing money by trying to hit up major cities in each U.S state??? Like really. Am I wrong for feeling this way???

    @d, move to a major market dummy lol and stop complaining. I live in Miami Florida, firsts stop can’t wait to see Hov and Bey….

    @Kunu, Well seeing as though u are an extremely rude and obviously unloved person who feels they can belittle people from behind a computer screen….i hope u get what u deserve. Have fun at the concert. Be blessed.

    This either ganna be the biggest tour of our time or the biggest flop of the year. Either way it’s two polarizing figures.
