Ludacris

The Billboard Music Awards are about to get Ludacris. The rapper-turned-actor will preside as host of this weekend’s show.

This will be Luda’s first time hosting a major awards show, but he will be able to draw from past experience. The “Party Girls” rapper got his start as DJ “Chris Lova Lova” on Atlanta’s Hot 97.5.

This year’s BBMAs will feature performances from Miley Cyrus, Jason Derulo, John Legend, Shakira, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Lorde, OneRepublic, Pitbull, Ricky Martin, and more.

Presenters include Kelly Rowland, Jordin Sparks, Wiz Khalifa, Chrissy Teigen, and Shania Twain.

Jennifer Lopez will perform and be presented with the Icon Award, plus there will be a “world premiere experience” featuring the late Michael Jackson.

The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will air live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
