New Music: Nicole Scherzinger – ‘Your Love’

Nicole Scherzinger

Three years after releasing her solo debut Killer Love, Nicole Scherzinger returns with “Your Love,” the first single off her sophomore album. The former Pussycat Doll sings about an irresistible love on the dance floor-ready record, which boasts a sing-song hook that you won’t be able to get out of your head.

“Something ’bout you so enticing, even when I try to fight it / Knock me out like Michael Tyson / I’ll do whatever you want,” she sings over the galloping beat.

Earlier this month, she hit the beach in Malibu to shoot a video for the song.

The former “X Factor” judge has signed with RCA Records and is working with The-Dream and Tricky Stewart on her upcoming album.

“For the first time in my career I feel like this album is me, it’s real,” she said. “It’s a very personal album for me. It is a reflection of the woman I am, the woman I am not, and the woman I want to be.”

Does Nicole have a hit on her hands? Listen below.

It’s a very lame when pop writers tend 2 construct women in songs as submissive desired objects 2 please men. @TheKingDream @TrickyStewart Ex: #YourLove

    @Lady Gaga, true!
But Lady Gaga is a hot mess. I would have agreed with you 100% …if your name was something else

  4. bobs

I think I fell asleep around the 1 minute mark.

  5. Twista

To be fair, I listened to the track before issuing critique.

It’s catchy and it’ll do what it needs to in the dance club arena, but I doubt it’ll do much to distinguish her as an artist in her own right (at least in the U.S).

    See, that was fair, right?

  6. kate

    is she white? or black?

    ? Reply:

    @kate, Neither. She’s Hawaiian.

    Grant Reply:

@kate, Her father is Filipino. Her mother is half Hawaiian, half Russian.

As much as I love Nicole , I am afraid this is another flop!
Don’t get me wrong, the gays will love it!
But this is a relatively small taget group with a huge impact that is catered to by so man females!
This is a tough job…even for her!
She will have ahit in latin America with this for sure but Europe and US? I am not sure…

@rapvictim, Naw, i’m pretty sure she keep this one. Gays don’t want this mess.

Someone needs to punch this bitch in her gotdamn throat. She is WASTING HER TALENT with this typical ass bullshit music. I listened to her tear down the 02 singing with “The Greatest Love of All” with Jahmene Douglas and “I’m Telling You I’m Not Going” with Sam Bailey and THIS is what she releases as a fresh start for herself? Nicole, sweetheart … you have a soulful, R&B-ready voice. She needs someone to be honest with her, since Simon isn’t. A random, praying black grandmother who sits on deaconness row would tell her straight up but I’ll just see what The Dream is able to cook up.

    JD Reply:

@Pilar, Lmao well said. This garbage is beneath such an incredible voice.

  10. Chloé Magnolia

I didn’t expect to like it, but it’s actually quite infectious and cheerful.

  11. Kyle

I personally think this is one of her best song EVER. Very catchy and I was surprised that I liked it. I think her best song was her debut single, “Whatever You Like” with T.I. back in like 2007.

  12. Ed

Okay, after a listen with headphones, it is definitely infectious. Fun … Nothing spectacular, but definitely a fun groove kinda song. I like it quite a bit.

  13. Malika

Her whole solo career is nothing but a struggle. This is terrible. Give it up Nicole.

  14. Lyon

Without no doubt i did not like it .

It doesnt seem like she,s even trying to get a hit on her hands.

Her first album was not good at all it was weak. what is she trying to do with this one.

i think her being with the pussycat dolls was better this her own music

  15. lmaoAtHaters

Why does she keep trying with this solo career? She should try to put back PCD together

  16. tina

    it’s amazing.. a summer smash

  17. Yolda Dei fpdyah dez

Nice summer jam dance club song but this song isn’t a hit number one on the chart billborad music sound like more for a teenager singer instead of a 30 something year old singer

  18. Deejay

“Your love makes me feel like buduooduhdududoo” ?????
    Da phuck does that mean?

    ANDO Reply:

@Deejay, it means they took about 10 min tops to write this song. lackluster, boring, and mediocre.

  19. tinstarr

She has more talent than this song. This song is catchy but won’t have longevity. I can’t even see people getting into this
