Danity Kane Says Goodbye to Aundrea at Final Show

Danity Kane

Danity Kane said farewell to one of their own last night. Aundrea Fimbres joined Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, and Shannon Bex for their final show as a foursome at the L.A. PRIDE Festival in West Hollywood on Sunday.

“This is actually my last show with Danity Kane,” said Aundrea.

Her groupmates surprised her with a bottle of Patrón and a bouquet of flowers. “We want to send her off only the way a Latin girl should go off, with some motherfuckin’ Patrón,” said Dawn.

“We love you, Drea. We want to give you so much love, so much support for the prospects for your life. You will always be Danity Kane, you will always be the love of our life.”

They shared a group hug onstage while the crowd chanted “Drea!”

The girls wrapped their “DK No Filter Tour” last week. During the kickoff show in San Francisco, Aundrea announced that she was leaving the group to pursue a family.

@Shutterbug seems like you want to break the group apart. They are stronger together than separate they make great music together. I love dawn, she’s actually my favorite but i’d rather her stay with the group and get big before releasing anymore solo material.

@Major Sushi, Dawn, Shannon and Aundrea are the best singers of the group. That way DK3 would’ve been perfect. I feel like Aubrey has a bad influence on the girls. I never seen Dawn lip sync before and the “ass show” is unnecessary. Show us your talent. Everyone was always focused on Drea weight and her dance skills but Aubrey is not a great performer to me. She can’t sing and was always called out by Diddy for her dance skills. Being sexy is not enough. I still love, support and wish the best to Danity Kane. But I can see why people are saying they need Diddy. I want them to win but at the same time I’m really scared for their future. I love their new songs tho but they really need better outfits lol :(

And anyone calling me a hater (because I see you coming) FUCK YOU I’m just REAL !

@Shay, The thing is, if it was just Shan, Dawn and Aundrea it would it feel awkward. Aubs unpredictability and cheekiness is what makes her a star. Dawns unique tone and fighter spirt is what makes her a star. Shans ‘ride or die’ attitude and classiness is what makes her a star. All three glue together perfectly.
It will be sad to see Aundrea go as she was the vocal foundation of “classic’ Danity Kane however if Danity Kane have any chance of really winning as a group, all members need to first be committed.
Aundrea isn’t committed to the band and her dance level has flat lined.
DK3 can ALL sing, dance and hold stage presence. With the right team behind them, they could kill it. However, moving forward the group needs to work on singing LIVE!!!!! Its no excuse to say ‘Well, they are dancing so it hard for them’. No. Pink is freak’n in the air singing live. So is Lady Gaga.
They also need to tour WORLD WIDE! Starting with America, Australia and the UK. If they can get moderate success in those areas, they will have a fighting chance of taking this from a urban secret to a lasting legacy.

Excited for the future for DK3. So glad it finally happening. ‘Lemonade’ is a smash.

@wonderland19,Their cannot tour anyway other than the USA at the moment, they have not got a big enough fanbase in other countries. They only sold out 1 out of 13 shows in their NoFilter tour, that tells you everything about Lemonade sales,if they could not find 20,000+ people to sell out all 13 shows, how do you expect the single to sell well. DK fanbase is not big enough, even thou they are loyal. If DK want to take the next step it is all about building a bigger fanbase or a crossover song

@major sushi, Why not aubrey? I’ll tell you why. Aubrey has more star power. She is a ambitious and driven. while Aundrea is talented, she is a quitter. She wanted to quit on MTB, she quit on Aubrey show and she now left the girls hanging. I’m kinda happy she is gone, it’s ok, this is not for her anymore. And the girls look better as a trio, Aundrea has pipes but as an all round performer she sucks.

@shay, Dawn IS a sensual performer and sex sells so if you’ve got flaunt it. No one can question their talent. They might had a lot of projects in the works but after they dropped their manager all the projects fell through, maybe… Those girl do not want a 360 deal like when they were with bad boy but even Rihanna has one so we’ll see where they go from here.

Bye Dre-licia…pork ass always quiting on something DK related..now that the fat is trimmed literally the Girl Group Lane is wide open for them to snatch!#dk3 #takeover this shit

    [Reply]

    delusional Reply:

@Sean, I agree the lane is open because they are not any real global girl groups, the biggest western one is doing alright in certain counties around the world. The problem DK has is that they need to build a fanbase outside their core fanbase which is not big enough to propel them to the top. DK need to do more to entice new fans to them, use social networking better than what they are doing. what about employing some of these update accounts to run DK group twitter account because who is doing it are inadequate.

Aubrey is a star and has done amazing job staying relevant ! She has so many connections and has introduced them to DK she’s brought on her glam team and Hair team she has reality show connections she is the business mind They all tried Solos didn’t and they won’t ever be Britney or Rihanna which is why the group works best Aundrea is the voice of DK maybe she wasn’t trying to sell sex after all she has a daughter and I applaud her for that she is loved and genuine she really is the one who stands a chance solo she is deff marketable and Americas sweet heart I won’t be surprised if the labels knock on her door!

I knew they were lip syncing! I understand in some circumstances you should lip synch to a track in case of batteries going dead in the microphone or some other unforeseen circumstances. However, this performance just really proves Dawn lip syncs her rap part. As for the outfits showing their asses, I would expect it from Aubrey. Dawn I can see doing that if the occasion calls for it. I think she approved the costume like that because she don’t care what the haters think which is the point of the song Lemonade.

    [Reply]

    R Reply:

@Jennifer, There is nothing wrong with their costumes and they have been touring for a over a month, it was time to give their voices a rest.

@R, Are you having a laugh, DK have been using they pre recorded vocals as the vocals you hear from the speakers in most their set since their 1st return show in December 2013. Some people try to use the excuse that they can’t dance energetically & sing live at the same time. Basically you are not hearing they live vocals most time, you hear the pre recorded vocals in most of the songs they have be doing in every show since December 2013. That is why most people talk about their dancing not they singing because their rarely sing live

@dkback2reality, So, you have watched every single DK performance since December 2013, Good. You are actually a bigger fan than I am lol!

    dkback2reality Reply:

@R, I have watched the LA & Vegas one off show & the No Filter tour show. I would not class myself has a fan but I do like DK, that is why I am disappointed in them using so much pre recorded vocals. I was there watching every episode of Making The Band. DK is a female vocalist group not a dance troupe make sure the live singing is right, then work the choreography around that, not the other way around

@dkback2reality, Whatever! They are selling out shows with rave reviews from fans which matters, your opinion do not matter.

The way Dawn turns up when the song starts is just…. EVERYTHING. I honestly wonder how big she would be solo if she started doing simpler music. Because the way she performs is just…. EVERYTHING. I absolutely LOVE her solo material and I have both EPs (Armor On, Whiteout), the mixtape and the album – so I’m a complete #heart til I die. I just wonder if she would really be “on” as a solo act if she gave in and started doing the “mainstream” or “urban” material that the masses love… The girl performs like her life depends on it and I hate that because she’s indie and she makes meaningful, storybook-like, fantasy-esque music that she gets over looked.

if you sons of bitches don’t stop talking about their solo music i will cut you ALL. i lOVE their solo music.. but for fucks sake.. NOW is all about Danity Kane. so instead of trying to break them up start supporting you motherfuckers. bow down and have several seats and watch them snatch yo wigs

I’m excited to see them continue as dk3. They kill it on stage as dk3. The Rhythm of love performances have been on point as well. On to better things hopefully. Hope their management really books them on bigger important public gigs for more exposure.

Aubrey & Aundrea WERE Danity Kane. With Aundrea out, Aubrey is solely DK3 with Dawn of course. Had Shannon gained weight and left to start a family I’d be happier. I think they’ll end after a year or so and try a more successful reunion in about 5 years with all 5 original members. But their new shit shits. #LemonadeLemonade
