Stream Trey Songz’ New Album ‘Trigga’

Trigga

In just one week, Trey Songz will release his sixth album Trigga. The R&B singer has teamed up with MTV to give his Angels a first listen before it arrives in stores on July 1.

The 17 tracks feature the singles “Na Na,” “SmartPhones,” and “Foreign,” with appearances from Nicki Minaj, Mila J, Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J, and Justin Bieber, who guests on the remix to “Foreign.”

“This is another dimension of my mind and my emotion,” said Trey. “It’s vulnerable, but it’s harsh. Trigga‘s a bit unapologetic, a little vulgar sometimes.”

@Bowtobey, “Real niggas let, real bitches come first. And real bitches been bad bitches from birth”

You must be an oppressed white male, to not understand that line, if you felt the need to call that verse ‘terrible’.

@Sarah, Yes Touchin’ Lovin was the highlight of the album, and I loved Nicki’s vocal arrangement in support of the verse. She’s so wrong for keeping the verse so short, but The Pinkprint needs finishing so gone ahead bae.

@Sarah, The song is fire! But part of the beat is a complete rip off Havana Brown’s “Spread A Little Love”. Lol I felt like I’ve already heard the song just bc of that part

This is solid. I won’t be buying it because I know I won’t listen to it again. But I’m glad his fans are feeling like he is getting back to why they love him. I wish more artists listened and executed the requests from the fans like this.

Damn, remember when Aretha Franklin gave this guy a thumbs up? In terms of substance, he’ll never top his first album IMO. I’ll have to grab the leak, it’s not worth my money as it’s an LP good for working out to and nothing more.

@Yasmine, but it is worth you capping a leak, pff you are so full of cr-p.

Trey really couldn’t think of any other singer to feature on the Foreign remix? Mario, Chris Brown, Trevor Jackson, etc? SMFH.

It’s ok, there are some good tracks on there but as per Trey, not an overly exciting body of work. He has so much talent though & a great voice.

His last album was way better than this. It’s too many sex songs..I only like maybe 2 songs. And the nicki stans only like that song because Iggy’s understudy is on it. Like it’s really gonna be Bottoms Up 2.0 just because she’s on it. Have a sit minions.

I am so grateful for this early album stream. I’ve been a Trey fan from day one! I have bought all if his albums and mix-tapes and so of course I preordered this one on itunes. After hearing the stream, I cancelled my preorder. I am sorry but Trey has displayed no growth as an individual with these last two albums. In the process of being a Trey fan, I have gone through the process of getting my B.A., teaching credential and Master’s degree and yet Trey is still singing about *itches, one night stands and partying. I thought his music would began to reflect the growth of man……. I bought Ed Sheeran’s album and will use the money I got back from Trey’s preorder to buy Sam Smiths album. Those guys are white British boys, fresh in the game and are selling r&b albums like crazy because they know how to write content rich songs. I am still a trey fan but for the first time will pass on this album because I don’t feel it’s worth my hard earned money.
