New Music: Wale – ‘The Followers’

Wale

In the wake of his fallout with Meek Mill, Wale has turned the attention back to his music by releasing a new song called “The Followers,” produced by Pro Reese and Marce Reazon.

“Just wanna shift the attention back on the art,” said Wale. “Just basically talkin about where I been at mentally. Tryna bring u closer to #nothing album.”

Meek accused his MMG labelmate of being a hater. Wale responded on Instagram, writing, “I don’t need to take anybody shine.. Or hate on anybody . I walk in a completely different world.”

People need to stop trying to categorize other people. Why does Wale not fit MMG? Cos Ross and Meek are street artists? MMG is one over the most versatile groups still standing. From Stalley to Omarion to Gunplay, and no we haven’t fallen off no compilation including Kanye’s GOOD Music album has outsold our first week sales. Anyway Lionel Richie said it best about music, stop tryna force these artists into a corner and I can say the same for Nicki or BOB who are both great at making mainstream music but you people want to bring them back down to where they started and now BOB’s album is getting no attention. Its pathetic let an artist follow what they think is right. Btw Wale would have NEVER sold as much or done as much without Ross. Thats a fact.
