Jermaine Dupri has extended his residency at Wynn Las Vegas through 2015.

The So So Def mogul will perform a total of 18 shows at the hotel’s four nightclubs including Tryst, XS, Surrender, and Encore Beach Club beginning July 18 through the end of 2015.

Dupri first began his Wynn residency five years ago at Tryst, and earned a reputation for playing hip-hop when others were spinning EDM.

“I’m pretty much the only DJ in town who sticks strictly to hip-hop because hip-hop is generally not taken as seriously as dance music,” said J.D. “At the end of the day, people move to what feels good. It really doesn’t matter if it’s EDM or hip-hop. I just want people to leave saying, ‘That was a damn good party!'”

Just last month, Dupri was honored with the ASCAP Founders Award at the 27th Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.

July 26 – Tryst Nightclub
Aug. 11 – XS Las Vegas
