Word Crimes

After spoofing Pharrell’s “Happy,” “Weird Al” Yankovic schools the grammatically challenged in his second of eight video parodies off his new album Mandatory Fun.

The pop satirist remakes Robin Thicke’s No. 1 hit “Blurred Lines” into “Word Crimes,” poking fun at those who don’t know how to spell or conjugate using the famous #THICKE-style hash tags from the original video.

“You should never write words using numbers unless you’re seven or your name is Prince,” he advises.

Questlove praised the song. “if committed 2 memory the sng cld raise you’re education level. its great @alyankovic,” said The Roots drummer.
