New Mixtape: Adrian Marcel – ‘Weak After Next’

Weak After Next

With his Sage the Gemini-assisted single “2AM” burning up the airwaves, Adrian Marcel keeps the momentum going with Weak After Next, the follow-up to his 2013 mixtape 7 Days of Weak.

Executive produced by Raphael Saadiq and hosted by Don Cannon, DJ Carisma, and DJ Amen, the 19 tracks boast appearances from Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, E-40, and Casey Veggies, with production by Saadiq, Vinylz, and Tha Bizness.

The Oakland crooner also performs a cover of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and remixes Drake’s “Girls Love Beyoncé.”

Download it last night. Fire mixtape! First time hearing his music. I’m a huge fan of Rapahel Saadiq so I knew this would be on point.

Amazing. Such an improvement over his last mixtape and that James Brown cover is absolute fire. I hope he has much longevity and support in the industry, love his voice, it’s special just like Maxwell and James Fauntleroy’s. These white British singers (Sam Smith, Daley, Ed Sheeran) are killing it with their creativity while so many black artists sing about the same, tired themes. Hoping AM will change that!

Adrian marcel is absolutely amazing. I love him sooo much its not even funny. He is so ridiculously talented. Nobody understands my love for him. He is putting R&B back at the place it desperately needs to be in. I love him
