@MonsieurKnowles, Rih and Bey both does Pop/R&B get over it. The Beyoncé album was half pop/half r&b.

@TRP, Did I say Mrs Carter’s doing R&B Music? NO! Bye

@TRP, Oh please. The only pop song Beyoncé had on that album was “XO” and it didn’t even do good.

@MonsieurKnowles, Rihanna can sing. She sound better than Beyoncé and her off key ass in “Drunk in love”. “Lo____ove” what the heck is that?

@RiRiLuv4Lyfe, Beyonce deserves this award because she always makes amazing music videos. And for her last album she made amazing videos for every song so. And oh yeah, not to mention that Beyonce has also directed some of her own videos . So Beyonce definitely deserves this award over Rihanna.

@RiRiLuv4Lyfe, Beyonce is in that legendary lane and she deserves it! Rihanna just became an ICON and she deserves it as well! However, i agree that Bey should get it first and then Rihanna!

@RiRiLuv4Lyfe, Yes, I agree. Beyoncé always doing same ole thing with Woman empowerment anthems and Ratchet videos on the beach. Rihanna on the other hand tells story’s through her music videos like “We Found Love” and “Man Down”. Hopefully they’ll give it to her next year.

    [Reply]

    Andy Reply:

Why telling stories is worthier than doing women empowerment anthems? Rihanna doesn’t do the videos all by herself. They tell her what to do and she does it. Simple. Probably Beyoncé also in some occasions.

@Andy, For ur information just becuz Beyoncé directed some of her videos doesn’t make them good and it doesn’t mean she deserves to win the video Vanguard Award. They should give it to the person with the best videos and this year they most definitely are not.

Every winner has been winning 10 years plus.
    Rihanna is not there yet.
    Eminem next.

@troof, How dare you. Rihanna is Queen. Beyoncé can’t touch her. That’s why Rihanna got more albums.

@?, You sound as dumb as your fav. Ya’ll didn’t start liking her until her ass got beat. And actually Beyoncé has more albums when you include Destiny’s Child. Beyoncé has done so much more than Rihanna. Face it and let her catch up.

@Marii, Actually, You sound as dumb as your fav. I been down with Rihanna since “Pon De Replay” bitch. How would you even know how long I’ve been a fan of hers and Destiny’s Child albums don’t count becuz those r group albums not solo albums. Think b4 u speak.

    [Reply]

    King Fierce Reply:

@troof, just because someone has more albums doesn’t make them queen. Besides Beyonce has less albums, because she has integrity and doesn’t sell out, and yet she has sold waaaay more albums that Rihanna has. Calculate that.
    /-)

    [Reply]

    ? Reply:

@King Fierce, Ur right. She’s not just queen becuz she has more albums but also becuz she has 13 #1′s, won an Icon award at 25, and has more hits. Beyoncé didn’t even make the list for most # 1 singles.

P.S., Beyoncé has less albums becuz she’s slow.

    [Reply]

    karamelkisses Reply:

@?, you sound really, really stupid. rihanna has 13 #1 songs that only stay there for 1-3 weeks max, whereas beyonce has 9 #1 songs that unpack and stay on top of the charts for 12-16 weeks i.e. irreplacable, single ladies. you can’t talk about beyonce’s catalog WITHOUT mentioning DC because beyonce played a huge roll in their success as the lead. so really when you count that … beyonce has more albums and #1 singles than rihanna. and i won’t start on the recording album beyonce just released in december.

ri’s your fave, we get it. but if you (& the other delusional ri stans) would be honest w/ yourselves. you would/could admit that while ri is holding her small corner down, she is nowhere near b’s level … she has to put in more work. and i don’t mean singles/albums … she needs to step up vocally, choreography-wise AND performance wise.

p.s. winning a “fashion” icon award doesn’t really matter at the end of the day when you’re supposed to be an “artist”. where are her 18 grammys, 13 ama’s?

    [Reply]

    ? Reply:

@karamelkisses, I look stupid? Think again. I was talking about her Icon Award at the American Music Awards. That just goes to show you don’t know much. And Destiny’s Child does not count. Those r group albums not solo albums. So therefore Beyoncé does not have more albums than Rihanna. Beyhive always tryna make it look like she has more albums than Rihanna. Ya’ll know she don’t.

Yawn. Nothing original or creative about her whole craft. She follows trend. Swear her new song she’s swagga jacking nicki and Rihanna. What is beyonces style of music anyway? Seems she just keeps up with times to stay relevant..

    [Reply]

    [Reply]

    karamelkisses Reply:

@Bri, “nothing original or creative” yet she’s the only artist in history to release & video album & change the game in terms of how/when/why you would/should promote an album. 1 word dear = VERSATILITY! b can sing a beautiful ballad like “that’s why you’re beautiful” to an iconic song like “ava maria” to the single woman’s anthem w/ “single ladies” & then top it off w/ a rachet anthem like “partition”. i won’t mention the gospel and/or rock songs she’s remixed & performed live that have the original artists singing her praises (yolanda adams, kings of leon, etc). you really reached for that one but your arms aren’t long enough!

I can not believe Rihanna didn’t get this award. She’s the only female artist who keeps coming out with albums year after year and still they honor Beyoncé. For what? Every song on that album was a mess along with the video’s besides “Pretty Hurts”, “XO”, and “Jealous”. The only award show that got it right was the American Music Awards. I don’t mind her performing but Rihanna truly deserves this.

@OVODRAKE, She comes out with Scary type music becuz she can change it up unlike some people and is not afraid to take risks.

P.S. she can come out with racy music becuz unlike Beyoncé she’s young in her 20′s and is not too old to be doing stuff like that.

    [Reply]

    karamelkisses Reply:

@?, rihanna releases music annually because she saw what happened to britney spears, another pop tart w/ limited vocals. she saw that if she didn’t stay in your face ALL the time w/ her version of music or controversy she would be forgotten. she’ll be releasing her annoying music soon. i’m sure as always her stans that talk alot of shit about other artists won’t support your leader w/ her product (album). besides NO ONE listens to the radio anymore, people download the music they. just ask justin timberlake, beyonce, drake, etc … people whose first week sales hit the 600,000+ mark.

Pink, Lady Gaga or Rihanna all deserve this award more. Beyonce rarely had memorable videos until this last album

Crazy in Love, Me myself & I, Irreplaceable, Suga Mama, Flaws & All, Ring the Alarm, Single Ladies, If I were a Boy, Sweet Dreams, Party, Countdown (yeah i know), Love On top & all the videos from BEYONCE are impeccable! So in my opinion she does deserve the award. Not trying to be messy but Justin Timberlake getting the award still doesnt make sense to me

    [Reply]

    karamelkisses Reply:

@Blah, agree w/ the part about beyonce. however justin was just as deserving, the cinematic feel of “what goes around” alone deserved an award unto itself. but then you add in “gone” w/ it’s simplicity & it’s gonna be me w/ the choreography & anamation (nsync vids) + mirrors w/ the love story & suit/tie w/ the throw back feel & his vids are stellar.

let’s face it, justin t. & beyonce are in their early 30′s shitting on these younger “artists” like justin beiber, miley & rihanna. not just w/ the musical content but w/ performances, longevity, touring demands, etc.
