Wu-Tang Clan Reunite on 'The Daily Show'
Wu-Tang is back. All nine members of the Clan reunited for a special performance on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Wednesday. Method Man, Ghostface Killah, GZA, RZA, Inspectah Deck, and the rest of the gang performed their new single “Ron O’Neal” and spoke about reuniting for their upcoming album A Better Tomorrow.
Raekwon was also present and addressed his fallout and reconciliation with his fellow Wu members. “We trailblazers in the music business, we been around the world, we doing our job. I consider this a sport,” said the Chef. “I think it’s important as an athlete of music to make sure that you’ve got your business together, make sure you feel happy in whatever you want to do.”
A Better Tomorrow is scheduled for a November release. “I think we all started for a better tomorrow,” said RZA. “Wu-Tang, we have something in common with each other—a brotherhood, a respect. And when we said ‘a better tomorrow,’ we’re starting to make a better tomorrow for ourselves, but also to inspire a better tomorrow for the world.”
The group closed out the show with a performance of the Wu-Tang Forever classic “Triumph.”
In addition to A Better Tomorrow, Wu-Tang is working on a 31-track secret album, The Wu – Once Upon a Time in Shaolin. Only one copy will be produced, and RZA claims to have already received a $5 million offer.
