Jennifer Hudson Reveals ‘JHUD’ Album Cover, Release Date

Mark your calendars. Jennifer Hudson has set a release date for her third album JHUD.

The follow-up to 2011′s I Remember Me will arrive on September 23 via RCA Records. On the cover, the R&B diva strikes a fierce pose against the Chicago skyline.

The ’70s-inspired album, a reflection of her journey over the past three years, has already spawned the Pharrell-produced single “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel)” featuring T.I., the Timbaland-produced “Walk It Out,” and the R. Kelly duet “It’s Your World.”

“It’s different expressions of me as an artist, a girl, a music lover,” Hudson told WPGC.

Other tracks include “Dangerous” and “He Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere.”

Why would anyone produce an album like this in the first place?

I’m personally very excited for this album. I think it will definitely showcase her growth and her more upbeat sound may shock some people. All those snippets I’ve heard are amazing! Love the cover too…It’s shaping up nicely. Who cares about what her first week sales are going to be!? Just worry about the damn music. I will be purchasing.

She has one of the best voices in the business, but some of the worst songs.

  6. CrackHo

pharrell production..this sounds like Latrelle’s album lol

This is such a bold move!
Returning to real music, real grooves and reduced productions.
    The voice can carry everything.
It is almost like she is making fun of all the talentless and trashy half naked women of today’s pop…
Effortless and extremely danceable, simple yet catchy and fun.
In my generation there is not many women to look up to.
    She is one!
