Nicki Minaj's 'Anaconda' Breaks VEVO Record
Nicki Minaj’s booty is breaking records. The rap queen’s “Anaconda” video racked up 19.6 million views in only 24 hours, setting a new VEVO record.
“WE BROKE THE RECORD BABY!!!!! Anaconda Video 19.6 million views in 24 hrs!!!!” tweeted Nicki.
The previous 24-hour record was held by Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” which received 19.3 million views in September 2013.
The raunchy “Anaconda” video, which had over 37 million views in 36 hours, features Nicki’s bountiful booty and a cameo from Drake, who gets a lap dance from his YMCMB labelmate.
Produced by Polow Da Don and Da Internz, the Sir Mix-A-Lot-sampled song will appear on her upcoming album The Pinkprint, due this fall.
Earlier this month, Nicki made history on the Billboard charts by topping Michael Jackson for most Hot 100 hits.
