Barbz rejoice. After months of waiting, Nicki Minaj has revealed the deluxe cover art for The Pinkprint. The third album from Young Money’s First Lady, which is now due December 15, has spawned the singles “Pills N Potions,” the Sir Mix-A-Lot-sampled hit “Anaconda,” and “Only” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown.
The simple, yet striking artwork features a thumbprint in pink ink (“It’s the key to my heart,” said Nicki) and was designed by Kanye West’s creative team DONDA, who did the artwork for Lil Wayne’s I Am Not a Human Being II and 2 Chainz’ B.O.A.T.S. II.
“This is actually the #Deluxe cover. I’ll post the standard cover at a later date. #ThePinkprintAlbumCover thank u to the Kanye West team,” she said.
Nicki hopes the follow-up to 2012’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded will stand the test of time. “I think the album is so classic,” she told “The Breakfast Club.” “It’s gonna feel so good and I think it will probably be something that female rappers look to as a Pinkprint for years to come.”
Prior to the album’s release, Nicki will host the MTV EMA in Glasgow, Scotland on November 9.
