Nick Jonas and Tinashe Perform 'Jealous (Remix)' on ‘106 & Park'

  /  11.05.2014

The livest audience got even liver when Nick Jonas made his debut appearance on “106 & Park” on Wednesday. The former boy bander kicked off the show by performing the remix to his steamy single “Jealous” with special guest Tinashe.

The pop heartthrob and “2 On” singer also sat down with Ray J and Keshia Chanté‎ to discuss how their collaboration came together. “It’s an amazing song to begin with, so obviously it was one that I wanted to be a part of, so he just reached out to see if I was down to be on the remix and I was like, ‘Absolutely,'” said Tinashe.

“It kinda breathed new life into the song,” added Nick. “The minute I heard she was gonna do it, I was in the car and ‘2 On’ came on.”

His self-titled album, which arrives November 10, explores a more R&B sound, and was influenced by everyone from Prince and Stevie Wonder to Frank Ocean and The Weeknd.

“It was a really important thing for me to step into my soul and R&B influences on this record,” he said. “When I was working with my brothers, I didn’t really get to do that as much, but I had the freedom to just go in and create and experiment.”

Watch Nick and Tinashe perform their duet for the first time on “106 & Park.”
