Christina Milian and Lil Wayne

Ring the alarm. Lil Wayne heat up the stage with the debut performance of his new single “Start a Fire” at Sunday’s AMAs. The Young Money chief was joined by rumored girlfriend and YMCMB labelmate Christina Milian on their duet, which is set to appear on Weezy’s oft-delayed album Tha Carter V.

“This record has actually been around for a second and actually while we were filming the show,” Christina told E! Online. “His manager Cortez heard the song and was like, ‘Wayne needs this on his album’ and literally when we were filming the episode while we were in the studio; that’s how that whole thing happened.”

Tha Carter V is scheduled to drop on December 9, while Christina will star in her own reality series, “Christina Milian Turned Up,” which premieres on E! in early 2015.
